Traditionally, the strength and beauty of the Czech brewing industry lay in the wide variety and uniqueness of its product range. Budweiser Budvar, N.C. decided to go against this trend and enrich the Czech beer culture with a beer of a new, original flavour particularly suitable for the typical Czech beer consumers. Therefore the brewery invited the real consumers, i.e. those who are fond of beer and have experience in its consumption, to take part in developing it. For several months, the aroma, colour and flavour were being tuned in the brewery. Combining traditional brewing skills with the experience of Budweiser Budvar’s brewers and challenging ideas of many beer connoisseurs resulted in the creating of the present Czech beer idol – “Pardál” beer, the perfect beer for sharp and full bitter flavoured beer lovers. The true beer for groups of friends who can label it : “It’s one of us!”

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden orange with a diminished white head. Vageu butterish to a dry and acidic cornish aroma. Medium dry and acidic flavoured to a medium dry caramel malt base. Bitter and light roasted finish.

Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2008
Bottled. A dark golden beer with a fast disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a touch of caramel, and so is the flavor. The finish is dry with a touch of metal.

omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2011 Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Neutral aroma. Fairly sweet with clean mouthfeel. Unpleasant flavour of chlorine and soap. Near no bitterness.

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2008
Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt with a whiff of butter. Medium body, malt and butter with a dry and hoppy finish. 291108

Koelschtrinker (21171) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 8, 2011
Herb-bitterer Antrunk. Naja... 8/5/6/4/5/5

TBone (17990) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 20, 2008
Bottled (BB 11/2008)
Golden color, small white head, some lace. Some Saaz hops in the nose otherwise quite neutral: light buttery and papery notes. Quite watery (well, 3.8 % = no suprises). Lacks most flavors. Light hoppyness with weak buttery notes. Watered down bulk class pils.

FatPhil (16893) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 13, 2016
500ml (Train station stop, Prague)
Arma is grainy, a bit husky. Taste is very bready grains. Freshly baked whole grain or sourdough bread. Cleanish, a bit watery, carbonation quite high. Quenches a thirst.

Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2009
