Clear amber color, small white head. Wheaty, a bit sweet and grainy aroma. Light-bodied. Wheaty flavor has evident syrupy notes. Sugarcaney finish.
On tap at Smoothie King Center. Pours a hazy orange with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is strong wheat, bread, grain. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, light finish, good. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 5, 2013

Clear reddish golden colour with a small white head.
Wheat, cookie sweetness and mild hops in the aroma.
The flavour is rather mild. There’s some wheat, sweetness and... not much more. Unfortunately a bit boring. American Wheat Ale ain’t my thang.
On tap @ Bamboula’s New Orleans. Pours a murky orange appearance with a cream colored head. Citrus zest, a little bready, papaya, orange aroma. Moderately sweet. Lightly bitter. Refreshing. Fairly standard fare but it hits the spot after being in the sun. DuffMan (10425) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 19, 2013
On tap @ Lüke’s, New Orleans.medium gold, thick white head that laces generously. Simple, wheaty profile that is slightly sweeter than average, but clean and decent enough for what it is. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 6, 2014

>> Clear deep golden pour with low, white foam. Nose is fresh lemon, pretty dead. Taste is heavier bodied, apple skin tannic, cereal grainy, white alcohol, salt, honey. Palate is chewy, mild bread and sweet rolls. Plain golden ale for the most part. Drinkable.
Rather boring. Light cranberry but not a lot. Crisp empty finish. Golden pour without much head or lacing. Tap at meridian pint. SudsMcDuff (8428) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - SEP 30, 2011
So i went looking for this, on my way to New Orleans from Houston I researched where i could find some on the way- ended up at Prejeans Restaurant in Lafayette,LA at about 8am, so my mom orders a coffee, I order a pint of the Canebrake from my friendly black waiter, goes down nicely.. then knowing i have a big day, i say maybe on another pint and the waiter brings me another- hell, ok.. and bring me some beignets!! .. . . Pours a deep gold, light haze .. light foam, got better as it warmed .. . aroma of sugar cane, bamboo, very light molasses, caramel, and yeast .. . nicely balanced .. . quite easy to put down .. . and damn enjoyable ..
