Brewed with Louisiana sugarcane! A new Louisiana tradition in the works. Crisp and easy to drink, this sparingly hopped American wheat focuses attention on the understated sweet remnants of sugarcane.

I frequently enjoy this beer. Find it to be much more enjoyable from tap than in the bottle. Definitely maintains a sweet flavor, but (particularly when served on tap) there’s a notable taste of herbs that doesn’t linger for very long. People who appreciate lighter-colored beer should certainly give this one a shot.

On tap at New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co. Pours a hazy dark golden color with tight white head that lingers and leaves some lacing. Aroma has wheat, grainy malts, and honey. Taste is slightly sweet with a short dry finish. Body is light to medium without too much carbonation. This is an easy drinker great for a hot day, and one with an unusual flavor to boot.

Draught @ Voodoo BBQ: This one pours a darker golden color. Some head and lacing. Good nose. Wheat, honey and faint spices. The tste is about the same. Decent.

On tap at Johnny White’s Pub & Grill in New Orleans (I think). Clear golden appearance with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus fruit, a light peppery spice and light honey malt. Similar flavor, adding a mild bready sweetness and a light zesty hop bitterness. Light and easy to drink overall.

Clear amber color, small white head. Wheaty, a bit sweet and grainy aroma. Light-bodied. Wheaty flavor has evident syrupy notes. Sugarcaney finish.

on tap @ Parish / Broussard LA --- Clear, medium golden amber, white head that drops to a thin cover, hanging strands of lace. Taste is clean malt that adds sweet on the swallow, then turns to light hops. Primarily a light, sweet, session ale that works.

On tap at Huck Finns. I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, slight sweetness and medium light body.

No aroma and little taste. But that is the style. Very easy drinking. Thin fading head. Perfectly done lawn mower beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle from New Orleans:
Really disappointing stuff if I’m honest, easily the worst of the recent beers I’ve tried from the states; one that was just too plain & unexciting. An early sweetness opened things up but it wasn’t anywhere near as strong as expected, some basic malts & corn with a touch of hay & wheat followed but nothing substantial to grabbed your attention. The palate was poor with the beer seeming bland & a touch thin; definitely one to avoid, there’s just so much better out there to try first.
