COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parish Dr. Hoptagon is a badass Black IPA. Pleasantly offensive, this serum is bursting with bitter hops and black roasted malts. If you prefer weak, yellow beer or rainbow pooping unicorns, put this bottle down and slowly back away. Don’t question why this beer is bottle-conditioned. It’s just better that way.

Pours dark dark brown almost black with than head quickly dissipates. The aroma is bread. Malty, citrus grapefruit, passion fruit, small amount of chocolate. The flavor is chocolate covered grapefruit with citrus, tropical fruit, and some pine, roast malt are very mild. Overall body is light and easy drink. Would recommend

Bottle - Pours deep ruby brown to black, off-white soapy head, some lacing. Aroma of scorched pancakes, grapefruit juice, and melon rind. Flavors of dark toast/scorched pancake, mild citrus meat with bitter citrus peel, a nutty presence, with a rotten grape hint. Dry hops finish.

(Bouteille au Song Phi Nong Houma): Un caramel épais et foncé est crispé par une résine verte et puissante. Les subtilités sont trop peu nombreuse.

12oz bottle much thanks to Graeme! Pours a dark brown/almost black color with a thick creamy khaki head of foam. Aroma of old citrus, lemon, chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt. Taste is much the same.

Bottle. Pours black and thin with very little off white head to it. Aroma had some pine, hoppy, roast nuts, bonfire. Flavor was pine, coffee, roasted and smoked malts, and bitter. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Not bad, but not my favorite.

Black pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of black malt with some light pine notes thrown in. The flavor is more IPA like. I get some pine and a hint of orange as well as some very light chocolate and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

This was an odd one. Note really black, and very malty. Seemed like a hoppy amber, to be honest. Lots caramel and molasses. Seemed like an almost decadent sweetness. Enjoyable, but odd.
