An easy drinking Belgian-style ale, our Bridge Builder Blonde has a wheat flavored backbone from the malt, tempered with hints of clove, banana and pear. The name is an homage to the many immigrants who constructed the unique arched stone bridges all along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Growler... RBWG 2013... Pours lightly hazed and light yellow with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is bursting at-the-seams with spiciness – overbearing notes of clove and coriander. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. The flavor is mildly sweet and loaded with clove spiciness. Lengthy, spicy finish. I could have lived without that overbearing, clove-like phenol. I’m no fan of that. Growler courtesy of ygtbsm94!

Pours a clear copper body with a minimal ring of white head. The nose is slightly sweet with some Belgian yeast fruitiness. A little honey as well. The flavor is pretty basic Belgian ale, some fruity esters, light sweetness, some lingering Belgian yeastiness. Medium bodied, perhaps a bit heavy on the tongue for the style, soft fizzy carbonation. Another ok, but rather boring beer. 3/6/7/3/12

$1.99 bottle from Whole Foods. Pours murky golden with a small, actually tiny, white head. Smells of cracker, cereal, yeast, only a hint of fruit. Flavor is definitely better than the aroma. Much fruitier, with banana and I almost want to say kiwi. Minor spice notes. Not bad.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 28, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Nose is hoppy, fruits and bananas. Taste perky, bananas again, with spears, and spices. Creamy texture. Some citrus in the finish. Decent.

OnTheTrail (580) - Virginia, USA - NOV 3, 2016
Pours slightly hazy light orange, medium off white head. Lightly yeasty aroma, white fruit. Soft wheat biscuit taste. More tangy than spicy or fruity. Light mouthfeel with abundant carbonation.

Draft - pours blonde white head - nose/taste of bread, alcohol and lemon - med body

burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - JUL 6, 2015
Poured a dirty gold color from the bottle with aromas of dough, light fruit, some banana, and esters. Flavors match the aromas decent, but not what I expected, more Belgium-y than a blonde like the name suggests.

raymow (1787) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2015
bottled - purchased in Roanoke VA - Interesting golden amber color. Smells and tastes Belgiany. Aroma better than flavor though.

djd07 (15543) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2015
Growler during RBWG. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is fruity malt, dough, clove. Medium mouth with doughy malt, strong Belgian yeast, light bitterness, good.

Eberndt (235) - - FEB 16, 2015
Pours hazy golden and has a faint aroma of spices. Taste is a little under carbonated and seemed a little umbalanced. Lots of sweet banana and spice flavor, but somehow a little watery at the same time.

mansquito (6887) - Nueva York, New York, USA - FEB 15, 2015
Total Wine, Fairfax twelve ounce: Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with slight fruit. This does not seem like a belgian ale to me. Seemed more like an english blinde. Meh.
