An aggressive, tropical NZ hopped aroma gives way to the rich, copper coloured malt base and a huge lingering bitterness to finish. In an ode to its ancestors, weve used all English malts in the grist and a bold English bittering hop in the boil.

Poured from tap. Dark copper. Medium head. I picked this beer off of its name. Its quite enjoyable exceeded my expectations. - a good hop and malt mix which leaves lingering bitterness

Interesting this gets a better rating than the Bloodhound. Id drink the Bloodhound over this, but it is still a good beer. Pours, a clear copper colour with a beige head that hangs around nicely. I dont get the aroma that many others have in their reviews. To me mostly grassy pine. Medium body that does come through with a bitter punch at the end. Overall, good not great. Go the Bloodhound.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Cheers to Big Dave! Pours clear, reddish gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds light grapefruit and pien. Light to medium sweet flavor, a little earthy, with bitter citrus rind and dry bread. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately dry on the finish, with notes of citrus, bread and pine. Not bad.

Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo. Earthy, citra, twigs, citrus. Taste is pretty bitter, very earthy again. Not so sure about this.

12oz bottle pours a clear deep amber with a lacy whIte head. New Zealand hops, tropical, mango, guava on the aroma. Flavor has a toffee caramel malt base which yields to hop bitterness. Medium plus body, a tad syrupy. Pretty good but not a standout.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a clear copper with a light beige head that lasts throughout. Terrific lacing. Mango, pineapple and papaya with some catpiss all over the nose. Good balance with some caramel malt flavor along with more tropical fruit and grapefruit pith on the palate. As it warms some orange comes out as well. Quite bitter on the palate. Long, lingering dry and bitter finish with some light orange gelato zing as well. Fantastic.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2016 Bottle from CBB. L: Pours a brownish amber, with a small beige head and a little lacing. S: strong aromatic hop presence, pine, mango, citrus, and a caramel sweetness. T: delicious. Has a strong malt backbone and a building bitterness, which balances nice with the pine and fruity notes. F: slightly chewy from the malt, a good body and rolls across the palate nicely. Plenty of bitterness for hop heads. O: a strong malt body, not just relying on surface smells and flavours but providing a solid drinking experience.

Pineapple, lychee, mango with a smooth citrus base. A little heavier in the body than a WCIPA, but less sweet, so higher drink ability. A superb beer. Enjoyed this more than the 8 wired Supercharger that followed, which is no slouch.

Had at The Birmingham Hotel in Melbourne, on tap. Not a big fan of IPA but loved it.

From notes. Draft at Dukes in Wellington. Clear deep amber color, medium white head. Aroma of grassy pine. Taste is bitter and resiny pine. Tasty.
