Great tasting IPA, if you enjoy the Tutatara APA then you will enjoy this one. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 1, 2012
On tap at Cookie. Nice and fruity, with great balance. Caramel, cherries, grass in the aroma. Taste is sweet and bitter, very well balanced; long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head. DylansDad (642) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 21, 2013
UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 330ml bottle.Very nice. If I blind tasted this I would have guessed it was an APA. Delicious fruity, resiny, piney hop flavour. Hop aroma just keeps on giving. Good bitterness, essence of tangerine or grapefruit peel in the aftertaste. Re-rate: I’ve had about a dozen of these now and I’m really starting to think of it as my All-Terrain-Vehicle of beers. It tastes good any time with anything, it’s a steadfast rock of a beer and I love it. ShaneJ (896) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 22, 2013
Bottle from Slowbeer. Deep amber, slight haze, solid lasting head, fruity, orange/citrus, grassy, pine/resin, caramel/toffee malt, quite bitter finish. Loved this one. Nick_Collins (4) - QLD, AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2015 does not count
Had at The Birmingham Hotel in Melbourne, on tap. Not a big fan of IPA but loved it.

Super beautiful aroma of tropical fruits and a stone fruit sweetness. Perfect copper colour, with a creamy head. Taste follows the aroma, with that mellow, almost syrupy background and pine needles after the cocktail of tropical fruits and a resinous feel in the mouth. One of the most excellent NZ IPAs. aussiealchemist (52) - Berwick Victoria, AUSTRALIA - JUL 17, 2017
Bottle at home. Pours cloudy orange with firm white head that settles. Low carbonation. Aroma is luscious; melon, passion fruit, stone fruit dominate. Flavour is quite strongly resinous pine plus citrus and pineapple. Some nice light caramel nutty malts as well. Taste is strongly bitter, mainly on the front and mid palates with enough sweetness to balance. Palate is full, smooth and oily with noticeable alcohol lift. Overall a great IPA. The big bitterness might build up after a few but it is very drinkable. mkel07 (5988) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 24, 2012
On tap at The Scratch. Great ipa with loads of pine needle aromas with some floral hop aromas also in the mix. Full in the mouth and flavour lingers on the palate. alectron (30) - - APR 20, 2013
Very nice, every day IPA with a great balance and only a slight bitterness. bgb1991 (131) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 19, 2013
Aroma does not give away much for me. Appearance is about as cloudy as they come while keeping a golden colour. If bitter is what you are after there are better beers but this beer balances classic malt character with a sharp bitter finish, a well balanced beer.
