Has a wonderfully unusual aroma--juniper, hemp--and scintillating taste--fine bitters with outdoorsy oomph. Just the right IPA for arousing curiosity and plucking up the ol’ spirits for the next thing, big or small. Davros (3290) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 7, 2013
Pours dark amber with a large head.
Nose shows light fruit (pear, apple), biscuity and bready malt, and grapefruit.
Pretty aggressive flavours. Pine, grapefruit, some cookie dough-like malt and a full-on sharp bitterness.
Carbonation seems to high. Lunkie (1963) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JUN 23, 2013
Herbal spice hop malt aroma. Clear amber colour with poor head and lacing. Hoppy spicy malty flavour. Flat lingering palate.

Bottle from Slowbeer. Deep amber, slight haze, solid lasting head, fruity, orange/citrus, grassy, pine/resin, caramel/toffee malt, quite bitter finish. Loved this one. gam (4078) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUN 16, 2013

I like it when the beer delivers what it states on the bottle its going to deliver. The beer was bitter and because of this I found it great and refreshing. Lacked a little in the flavour and aroma department but I really liked it regardless. pmuzz (400) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 15, 2013
Smells and looks great. Good hop presence but just too bitter, making the beer unbalanced - you could only have one. Still a good beer overall. hawthorne00 (4116) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle. Just hazy amber with a modest beige head. Pungent grassy/ tropical/ zesty citrus Kiwi hop aroma. Lots of biting aromatics, meek plainish caramel, thumpingly bitter finish. Bit of a chainsaw on a chopstick, this one. BungEye (27) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - APR 20, 2013
I was expecting to have a numb tongue with this name. However the bitterness is subtle (it’s there but just perfectly balanced with the malt). A great example of a NZ IPA obviously influenced by APA’s alectron (31) - - APR 20, 2013
Very nice, every day IPA with a great balance and only a slight bitterness.
