COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An aggressive, tropical NZ hopped aroma gives way to the rich, copper coloured malt base and a huge lingering bitterness to finish. In an ode to its ancestors, we’ve used all English malts in the grist and a bold English bittering hop in the boil.

One of my favourites and a great Wellington brew, bitter as the name suggests but with some complementary sweetness and malt. Plenty of hops. Delish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 8, 2013
330mL bottle. Pours deep amber with a very small off white head and nice sweet grassy/piney aroma. Very nice flavour to this beer, hints of pine, sweet burnt caramel, slight grassey notes.

jonnyguns (1108) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a nice deep golden colour with a creamy white head. Nose upfront has stone fruits and a biscuit malt. Taste has a lingering sweet biscuit/caramel malt bitterness. Solid hop profile too. Not too bad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

HopRedHead (397) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 14, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours clear golden orange with a short, khaki head. Immediate aroma of stone fruits, cherries and a touch of resin. Taste is smooth, caramel malts backed by a summer fruit hop profile. Upfront bitterness and well concealed booze, really solid IPA.

pfhyde (61) - Davis, California, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Has a wonderfully unusual aroma--juniper, hemp--and scintillating taste--fine bitters with outdoorsy oomph. Just the right IPA for arousing curiosity and plucking up the ol’ spirits for the next thing, big or small.

3.6
Davros (3362) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 7, 2013
Pours dark amber with a large head. Nose shows light fruit (pear, apple), biscuity and bready malt, and grapefruit. Pretty aggressive flavours. Pine, grapefruit, some cookie dough-like malt and a full-on sharp bitterness. Carbonation seems to high.

3.2
Lunkie (1969) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JUN 23, 2013
Herbal spice hop malt aroma. Clear amber colour with poor head and lacing. Hoppy spicy malty flavour. Flat lingering palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Slowbeer. Deep amber, slight haze, solid lasting head, fruity, orange/citrus, grassy, pine/resin, caramel/toffee malt, quite bitter finish. Loved this one.

Rangi (671) - NEW ZEALAND - JUN 15, 2013
I like it when the beer delivers what it states on the bottle its going to deliver. The beer was bitter and because of this I found it great and refreshing. Lacked a little in the flavour and aroma department but I really liked it regardless.
