Bottle as part of the rainbow box via Cornelius. Deep red brown off white fizzy tan head. Sweet ripe toffee apple and woody cognac barrels. Medium full body, sticky, good fizz. Jammy and boozy, a bit medicinal. Rich and full, shortages finish. Very fine.

Fra kran på Haand Ølfestival 30 Mai 15 som Blue Quad. . Delt med Rune. Mørk skittengulbrun. Uklar. Forsiktig sjokoladearoma. Smaken balansert. Preg av sjokolade. Alkoholen godt kamuflert. Bra - men litt uvariert.

CraftBeerNick (2869) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2015
Bottle at home, 9th October 2015. Pours dark amber, pretty clear after a year or age. Aroma is liquor, malt, pleasant. Taste is sweet, but off set by cognac liquor notes. Tasty barrel beer

3.3
ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 29, 2015
On tap @ HaandFestival 2015. Cloudy light mahogany-hued orange body with a small off-white head. Nose is nuts, nougat, caramel, cognac, wood and hints of raisins, figs and biscuits. Taste is brown sugar, nuts, red fruits, cognac, wood and hints of raisins and figs. Full body, medium to high carbonation. Fair enough, but the base beer isn’t quite good enough to justify the barrel aging.

3.9
Stuu666 (15056) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 27, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours deep amber, nose is burnt toffee, coconut, raisins, taste is sweet, dry, light fruit, fairly boozy and rich.

Bottle from the Rainbow launch at Beavertown. Pours a deep dark reddish brown with a lasting thin head and musty aromas of toffee, apple and brandy. Rich and dry-sweet, with a warming alcohol bite, notes of jam, toffee and salt liquorice, a touch of vanilla.

Rune (13643) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2015
On tap, as Blue Quad 10 % abv, at Haandbryggeriet Beer Festival 2015. Filmy layer blanketing the glass. Cloudy apricot body content. Mid-sweet fruity smell, woody. Taste of caramel, bread, and jammy fruits. Dry, lightly spiced bitter end. Well bodied. Nice. Shared with Finn (Drammen 30.05.2015).

3.7
Meilby (11783) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2015
Draught @ Haand Ølfestival 2015, Drammen

Pours hazy copper with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, alcohol and oak. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, fruity, caramel and oak finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
