Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy amber colour. Thick, tight, off white, lasting head. Good looking beer. Aroma of tinned mandarin, light muscovado sugar. At a guess this has been in whisky barrels. An alcohol warmth is very much in evidence. Taste has a butterscotch sweetness, with a dry, but not bitter, black pepper finish. Lovely.

33cl bottle courtesy of sebletitje, thanks Sebastian! I poured a little too much out and had a small stream of dark sediment enter the glass following the beer (wow, the label even states to pour carefully. It is a shame I didn’t take note of that sooner). As a result it has a slightly hazy deep copper body that supports a full cobweby tan head of foam. The aroma offers up blunted floral and plum notes as well as raisins and dates blended with a sherry like sensation. The taste is growing on me. It tries to be hoppy at times and also gets sweet and estery at other times. I get slivers and shards of bitter pine and floral hops amid a sea of sweet malts, sugar dusted prunes and figs as well as sherry and booze nuanced maltiness. All in all this is a pretty nice sipper.

Clear golden colour, firm white head. Aroma of raisins, malts and Madeira. Light bitter flavour, light marmalade, sweet malts. Finish marmalade, malts and sherry.

Beese (3051) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2014
Bottle from the Partizan Brewery. Pours a clear amber, with a dense white head. Aroma of massive tinned fruit, spice, booze soaked fruits and whisky. Super smooth mouthfeel. Lots of pineapple, dates, bourbon, grain and honey in the flavour. Finish is dry grain, caramel, apricots, peat and warm booze.

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, little cream. Nice orange marmalade. Lovely light vanilla oak and a pretty mild tangy whisky. Light finish. Very nicely done and very drinkable.

ThirstyBird (2967) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2014
Thanks koelschtrinker! Pours a hazy dull amber color with a cream colored head. The smell is wood, tart fruit, caramel. The taste is caramel and the other aforementioned flavors with a nice dry ending. The body is medium, with nice carbonation.
