Bottle at Partizan. It pours hazy golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is zesty orange, mango, skunky hops and faint urine notes. The taste is fresh orange, tangerine, mango, apricot, marmalade, minerals and a touch of underlying sweetness with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pours murky orange color with a small head. Aroma is quite intense with sweet caramel and exotic fruits, mango, mild pineapple, mandarin and lemon, hop notes are quite faint. Flavor of sweet caramel malts, mandarin, grass, some goose berries and hops. Medium carbonation, bitter fruity palate with a sweet and sticky finish. A bit too sweet, otherwise decent.
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy straw colour with a big frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is huge grassy hop, pine needles. The flavour is strong bitter with a smooth uber grass nettle citra hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. A real grass box classic. 330ml bottle at home in Richmond, as ’Partizan Indian Pale Ale Citra’, 7%, roughly 2 months old. Hazy dark orange, bubbly off-white head, full lacing. Aroma is peach yoghurt, fruit salad. Body is smooth and rounded, soft carbonation. Taste is straw, grassy, pine, resinous, some booze showing up, soft bitterness. Quite crisp, has a nice pine vibe. Decent.
