Hazy dark amber with fluffy white head. Sappy resinous nose with underlying mango. Quite soft carbonation and mouthfeel with a big lupulin hit. Some lemon cheesecake and tangerine pith. It finishes too briefly but its headed in the right direction. Hate to say it but maybe this one would benefit some cara!
It’s been a humdinger today, oh boy. Tomorrow, all being well, brings the promise of pie and ink. Although not together. They say that the worst feeling is when you’re finished, all done, but that’s someway off. I lack sweetness at the moment, much like this beer, but the bitterness sits well. I keep forgetting to ask Thomas, Moore or More? tommann (3758) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2013
330ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is sweet, with pine and mango. Taste is sweet and bitter, with pine and mango. The_Bish (1123) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2013
Something just slightly missing here, just stopping it from being brilliant. I guess the quality of IPAs that are available just means the game has to be spot on. I’m no expert so to say what part of the process has missed is beyond me, suffice to say (for me at least) that there is enjoyable bitterness but perhaps without the fruit/citrus/something complexity to add a layer. Nevertheless this is tasty and enjoyable. MannyGoldberg (205) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Reminiscent of an old school Kernel before they started dropping the ABV and reigning in the hop onslaught. Bit rough around the edges but shows a load of potential. In 2012 the east end started to edge ahead of south London so we need more of this sort of thing quite frankly.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 33cl bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear golden colour with a big white head. Long lasting foam and lot of carbonation streming off the bottom of the glass. Aroma is hop forward on the fruity side, with pineapple and citrus. Taste is similarly fruity but not overly bitter. Grapefruit and peaches with a touch of acidic note in the finish. Medium mouthfeel and well carbonated. Nice and refreshing. Theydon_Bois (19546) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2013
Bottle at the Cask, Pimlico, 18/01/13, split with Chris, Jan and Charlotte.
Hazed mid amber with a thin off white head.
Nose carries a big dose of pine, dank hops, citrus, bitter grapefruit, peppery tones.
Taste comprises hops, pine, citrus, grass, grapefruit, mineral tones.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation, bitterness in the dryish finish.
Decent enough but could be have been a 3.8/9 for me with a little more attention. Scopey (14778) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2013
Bottle, CP&K. IPA Columbus, Cascade, Bravo. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, Irn Bru, pine, some sweetness and some farmyard. The taste is pine, orange citrus, mango, Irn Bru, light metal and grass with a bitter-citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Somehow clearer and cleaner than Kernel using the same kit! Smooth, tasty and rather drinkable! jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Bottle from the legendary Kris Wines. The pour’s a light amber color with a modest white head. The aroma’s sticky tropical fruit salad. Brash mango and soft citrus. Some caramel and sharp green grass. The taste is summer fruit salad. Loads of salty sea grass, more mango, melon and citrus fruits. Chewy, sturdy malt body. Aggressively bitter finish. Robust body, this certainly wears its ABV. Overall, a pretty great big IPA.
