Solid IPA - the best yet for me from Partizans pale spectrum. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2013
Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Now I love Simcoe and I can smell this beer already as it sits in the glass. Good intense Simcoe aroma. Quite sticky in the mouth quite full as Simcoe tends to be and the malts are just right to carry that gorgeous pink grapefruit resiny cat pee woody flavour. OK bitterness on finish. Not harsh. Just a lovely vehicle to deliver Simcoe into my body. Stupidly moreish. The glass lasted less than the 3 minutes 40 seconds it took me to heat up my dinner in the microwave. Lovely. Bottle from Partizan. It pours lightly hazy amber with a medium beige head. The nose is big on the pine, orange, over-ripe mango, diet Irn Bru and candle wax. The taste is bitter orange, grapefruit, orange sponge cake, pine, resinous, oily hop and some more diet Irn Bru with a rather bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A touch sickly on the nose, but pretty tasty.

Pours a copper colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of grapefruit, resin, wet earth and some floral notes. Flavour of strong grapefruity hops, grass, resin, blackcurrant juice, mango and mildly sweet caramel maltiness. Medium bodied, heavy but smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Bitterness builds up towards the end and creates a lovely lingering bitter and sweet finish. Hoppy fumes as well. Very enjoyable.
33cl bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear golden colour with a big white head. Long lasting foam and lot of carbonation streming off the bottom of the glass. Aroma is hop forward on the fruity side, with pineapple and citrus. Taste is similarly fruity but not overly bitter. Grapefruit and peaches with a touch of acidic note in the finish. Medium mouthfeel and well carbonated. Nice and refreshing.
