July 2017 - Bottle shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Kenny. As ’Partizan Porter 5 Grain’. Very dark brown, foamy with a light brown head. Aroma is airy, red berry, touch of rhubarb tart. Body is light and frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is airy and earthy, soft malts, fluffy with a touch of ash. Not totally ruined but not helped by age. Woah, what a gusher! Everywhere! I managed to save a bit but still in shock over how much that gushed! It’s been kept at the back of my cupboard for ages. Weird.
Looks is beige lacing which is thick and prominent. Opaque. Chocolate colour. Aroma of cacao, wet cardboard, wood resin and Swiss milk chocolate.
Taste is chocolate, Devon clotted cream, bitter espresso, licorice, toffee, some smoke character coming through. Finish is very bitter and the texture is a bit lumpy.

Bottle from the brewery. Bottled 17th April 2014. 6.4%. Clear, ruby red. Untidy, sticky, lasting, off white head. Quite plummy. Some dried, vine fruit. Hint of roast malt. Light tartness. Tastes dry, with some fruity sweetness. Palate doesn’t match the ABV. Finishes thin, metallic bitter. mgajdaczewa (2308) - Katowice, POLAND - JUN 13, 2014
W aromacie ciemne słody i nuty owocowe przejawiające się zielonym jabłkiem, lekko kwaskowe, mnie niezbyt przeszkadzały, choć troszkę psuły wrażenie. W smaku lepiej, wytrawny, lekko palony, sporo gorzkiej czekolady, lekko kwaskowy. Mógłby być bardziej pełny, choć wtedy prawdopodobnie straciłby na pijalności, która jest całkiem wysoka. Niezłe piwo. 30th March 2014
Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry. Modest carbonation. Smooth dry dark malts, dry cereal and mellow coffee. Touch of tangy dark fruits. Mellow earthy dryness lingers on.
