Keg at the source. Surprised I hadn’t scooped this before! It pours near black with a medium beige head. The aroma is toasty, dark roasted malts, earthy, wood, cocoa and caramel. The taste is cocoa, earth roast, charred notes, caramel, chocolate, light spice and wood with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded. 330ml bottle BBE 26 Feb 2017. Pours dark brown with ruby highlights and huge beige head. Aromas of milk chocolate, a little roast, golden syrup. The taste has a nice chocolate flavour, a little nuttiness and slight roast character, light spicy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little thin and overcarbonated, detracting from the smoothness of the chocolate flavours. Quite enjoyable, I just wish it was a bit less carbonated. Pours a dense brown body with sizeable beige foam.
Moderate intensity aroma - milk chocolate, (wal)nuts, browned toast & caramels, slight vinous fruit undertone.
Good weight, lively, creamy carbonation & texture, sort of chewy, substantial for weight.
Flavours pop a bit more on the palate - toasted nuts, brown toffee, bittersweet chocolate, red plum undertones. Reasonable bitterness, dry finish, lingering minerality.
As much as the lively carbonation is a put off, it actually lends this an almost "dubbel" like quality - rather good.

Keg Two-Thirds of a Pint at Partizan Brewery, Bermondsey, London in Apr 2016 - Very Dark Brown in colour. Good tan head. Very Malty; roast malts, dark chocolate, some coffee, caramel, liquorice notes. Fruity; dark fruits. Sweetish roast chocolate malty and fruity throughout. Drying finish. OK. Very drinkable. Decent.

From City Beverage, London. Bottled 15.11.2016. 5.6% and not 5.0. Pours brown with small and brief tan head. Aroma and flavour roasty and caramelly sweetish, somewhat nutty. Lightish (almost watery) on the palate with dryish roasty finish. Pretty decent overall, far from exciting but well drinkable and well made.

Bottle - 330ml. Pours a very dark brown body with a huge, lasting, beige foamy head. Wonderful malty/hoppy aroma with roasted coffee, chocolate, and even some subtle brandy/fruity hints. Bottle (330 ml). Bottled 02/12/2015. Slow gusher. Hazy brown with a frothy beige head, some retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is of coffee, milk chocolate, notes of almonds, caramel and toasted malts. Taste is slightly sweet, roasted malts forward with coffee, milk chocolate, caramel, almond and mild roasted bitterness. Medium body. Medium but a bit fizzy carbonation. Coffee finish.
