Black colour with a small greyish brown head.
Mild roasted malt, liquorice, yeast, berries and dry grain in the aroma.
The flavour is dry liquorice, yeast, mild hoppy bitterness, roasted malt and dry graininess.
This Black Saison is very strange style as there’s not much Saison in this beer. I’m missing the delicacy of the Saison.
Black body, light brown head. Aroma has dark berries in chocolate, some sourness, bit ashy. Flavour starts with roasted and turna bit rusty. Nothing saison like in this. Ashy and acidic. Bit thinnish. joergen (28772) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2013

Bottle from ABC Beers. Pours dark brown with a lacy beige head. Aroma is grassy hops, coffee, chocolate, nuts, spicy and some toast. Taste is quite bitter, not sweet at all. Long bitter yeasty finish. Medium bodied. Pretty decent, kind of an obscure style. Tasty nonetheless. Beersiveknown (5301) - NORTHERN IRELAND - DEC 13, 2013
Bottle at home from cotteridge wines courtesy of richthevillain, cheers!olio (10434) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 10, 2013
rich chocolate and lactose notes with overripe plums. Very dark chestnut with latte lacing. Dry berries, herbal hops. Chocolate, medium body and carbonation. A bit sweet for a saison with an unusual dry fruit finish.
33 cl bottle.
Pours black color with a huge off-white head. Aroma is an interesting blend of hops, yeast, citric fruits and slightly toasted malts, some wooden notes appear also. Flavor of malts, ash, hints of dark chocolate, mandarin, yeast and some subtle hop notes. Surprisingly low carbonation, slightly ashy dry malty palate with a dry finish. Quite light, almost watery feel. Interesting anyway.
