Editor’s note: It can be hard to detect which Grisette you’ve had as the label doesn’t indicate if it’s spiced or citrusy. This edition has an addition of citrus peel, and less wheat than the regular edition. The label artwork is blue/purple.

0.33 l bottle. Hazy orangey golden body, mostely diminishing white head. Crisp wheaty nose with spices and yeast, and distinct lemon zest. Light body, dry on the palate. Citrus zesty and wheaty flavor, hint of spices and citrussy bitterness. Citrus linger in the finish. Highly drinkable.

marginally hazy pale gold with herbal nose and yeast esters. Moderate carbonation, v dry peppery yeast and a suggestion of citrus pith in the finish.

Sampled from a 0.33l bottle @ Haandfest 2013. This is a blurry yellow golden one with a soft lacing quickly gone white top. The nose is fresh and citrus fruity. Cucumber, citrus dried clementine and citrussy hops? Smells quite fresh and nice! It has a bit minerally flavor, the mouthfeel is quite thin and the carbonation is about average. Hay and grass in the taste, the hoppy citrus is a bit fainter in the taste compared to the aroma but present and it ends with a both watery and bitter grapefruit zest aftertaste. 25.05.2013

Tap sample @ Haand Festival 2013. Hazy straw-hued yellow body, small white head. Nose is mild grapefruit-ish citric tones, lime, lemon, hints of straw and grass. A bit too discreet for me, but OK. Taste is citrus peel, lime, lemon, hints of straw and hay. Clearly the citric version of the series. Medium body, high carbonation. Pleasant enough.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Bottled 09/04/13, BBE 09/08/13 - Pours hazy yellow with a massive white head. Aroma of tart citrus, spices, hints of fruity hops and grass. Taste is refreshing, tartish, hoppy and grassy with loads of citrus and hints of fruity yeastiness. Finish is dry, slightly tart and citrusy with notes of grass, yeast and fruits. Light bodied, but refreshing saison.
