Editors note: It can be hard to detect which Grisette youve had as the label doesnt indicate if its spiced or citrusy. This edition has an addition of ginger, pepper and an undisclosed spice, and less wheat than the regular edition. The label artwork is pinkish/lilac.

Bottle at Haand Festival 2012. Its an unclear, orange-golden beer topped by a finger-thick, dense white head. The aroma has some wheat and pale malt, a good dash of ginger and Belgian saison yeast. Faintly peppery, and theres also a generic spiced touch I cant pinpoint. The flavor has a balancing bitterness, its dry and nicely carbonated, with ginger, pale malts and a little , spiced, peppery twist. Some citrus notes. Lasting fruity finish. Might be the first time Ive had a ginger-infused beer I really like, the level of ginger is spot on. Not extreme in any way, just there to add a little twist, and the saison yeast sure handles it well. 130525
