Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is fresh fruity, grapefruit, grass, hay, citrus peel. Taste is fresh, hay, citrus peel, grass, cardboard, wood. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Nice.
Bottle at Haand Festival 2012. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer topped by a finger-thick, dense white head. The aroma has some wheat and pale malt, a good dash of ginger and Belgian saison yeast. Faintly peppery, and there’s also a generic spiced touch I can’t pinpoint. The flavor has a balancing bitterness, it’s dry and nicely carbonated, with ginger, pale malts and a little , spiced, peppery twist. Some citrus notes. Lasting fruity finish. Might be the first time I’ve had a ginger-infused beer I really like, the level of ginger is spot on. Not extreme in any way, just there to add a little twist, and the saison yeast sure handles it well. 130525
