33cl bottle bb10/2014, nochmal danke an Idiosynkrasie für die blue-collar UK miniserie. Labeled as "Saison Traditional Spiced" with indicated 4,1% Abv - which would be historically spot on as far as I’ve read up on saisons - harvesting extra field work points for that! More expressive nose than their grisettes, with already some pepper, yeastiness, and if any stable, then a very clean stable - without carrying any of that upfront artificial brett in the nose like many US saisons with a stylistic point to prove. Body is pleasantly thin, but harmonious. Taste composed of delicately equally measured amounts of lemon peel, hay, white, pepper, coriander seed, with a fresh flowery, pollenated finish. Immensely drinkable, with no immediate flaws - on many occasions this would be my drink of choice as most BE saisons are not to be had under 6%. Ironically enough, UK saisons are not to be had for under £3 or close to it, so the stylistics, economics and demographics of the target audience sort of self-cancel on this one... / Nice label design, ¿consciously? on par with those other succesful updaters of the saison style for the 21st century, De la Senne. Bottle from the Partizan Brewery. Poured a hazy yellow, with a thin white head. Aroma of spice, Seville orange and banana essence. Dry earthy grains in the flavour, with some yeast esters and some tropical fruit sweetness. Finish was cereal, dry straw and candied peal. fonefan (53060) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 25, 2014

Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, spicy, soapy, spices, coriandr, white pepper, chamomile. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, yeasty, spicy, white pepper, soapy, ginger, coriander notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
330 ml bottle from Ales By Mail (4.1% ABV), served in a tulip glass. Bottled on 08-10-2013. Pale canary yellow, slightly hazy, with a tiny bright white head which fizzed away immediately. On the nose light cereals, rye bread, white grapes, some lemony/citrusy fruitness and mild yeast notes. Crisp and refreshing, quite bitter and very, very dry. Not the longest aftertaste, but it’s certainly an invite to take another sip. Malty finish, without too much influence from the yeast. Moderate to lively carbonation, light to medium body and powdery texture. Nice.

Pours hazy golden color with a small rapidly dissipating head. Aroma is fruity with lots of grape fruits and lemon, some mild spice notes with farmhouse and yeast. Flavor of refreshing citric fruits, spiciness is low, some subtle yeasty mustiness and wood. Refreshing fruity palate with a sourish finish. Nice.

Yellow-orange, hazy, thin white head
Aroma - soft spicy. light saison yeast, slight lemon, soft cereals, light nose
Taste of soft yeast, soft cereals, bit lemony, slight apricot, light pale malts, bit dull
Palate - Medium carb, light body, light bitter and sweet, bit watery. Finish a bit dry, rapid dull finish
Overall - Light flavours, might have suffered from the drop in abv
Fair but not brilliant Saison. Pours cloudy yellow with white head that thins with no lacing. Promising nose with a cut grass aroma. In the mouth it starts to disappoint, mid range carbonation but thin on the palate without the rough raw ’farmyard’ punch you (I) hope for in a Saison. Niall73 (2461) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 10, 2014
Bottled 08/10/13. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw colour with a white head. Aroma is a pleasant yeasty spiciness, some apple and a little pear. Light body, medium fine carbonation. Quite light a delicate, ever so slightly thin, there’s pear, a hint of cloves, apple, grapes, a touch of pepper. Light, refreshing and tasty. OleR (4801) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2013
From tap @Haand Fest 13. Orangey hazy golden. Firm white head. Fresh wheat aroma with tones of spices, pepper, citrus and yeast. Light to medium body. Sweetish floral citrus- and tropical fruity flavor. Some herb and spice tones, and gentle bitterness underneath. Dry/sweey peppery ending. Very nice.
