Bottle - 330ml. Opaque, black body with a huge brown foamy head. Good malty aroma with chocolate, hoppy, and roasted cereals hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries roasted coffee, woody, and some liquorice notes. Alcohol is well hidden. Ends with a long bitter/roasty finish. Enjoyable.

mecafilo (215) - Perugia, ITALY - AUG 31, 2016
On tap @ Partizan Brewery, London, UK. Pours with a pitch black colour, small diminishing tan head. Aroma is medium to heavy malty, with notes of coffee and chocolate; some vanilla and fruit too; theres even some hops there. Good aroma, but its the taste that takes the party away: medium to heavy sweet, medium bitter, slightly sour: very well balanced and tasty. Medium body, oily texture, soft carb. A very, very good stout.

Bottle (330 ml) at home. 7.1% version. Bottled 07/01/16. Dark brown with a large easy to revive brown head, good retention, leaving some lacing. Aroma is of milk chocolate, roasted malts, berries (in a similar way than in a red wine), ashes and liquorice notes. Taste is moderately sweet with roasted malts, milk chocolate, berries, mild acidity, ashes and mild to moderate chocolate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Berries and roasted malt finish with a lingering bitter chocolate presence. Good fruity chocolate forward stout. Never heavy. Really well executed.

Bottle from Oddbins West Hampstead. Deep almost black, very high carbonation almost foaming over, white head. Powerful beer, dark bitter roasty malts with a strong hop herbal bitterness. Tasty stuff.

Towey1989 (2123) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2016
Keg at The Port Street Beer House, Manchester. A black colour with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, sour berries, some chocolate, slight coffee, a little molasses, a hint of soy sauce and subtle liquorice. Taste of dark fruits, sour berries, some liquorice, roasted malts, chocolate, slight coffee, a little molasses and spicy hops. Full bodied and an oily texture. A dryish, sour fruit, roasted bitterness in the finish. Its got a superb bitterness considering all the fruitiness thats in this beer. I find it quite sour and spicy for a stout. Expected better.

pours unclear very dark brown with a large crema head, reviving and leaving very nice lacing. spicy roastiness, tasty milk and bitter chocolate, tart-ish red fruits - raspberries and wine red grapes, lactose hint of sweetness, some smokiness - enhancing umami without being ashy, some wood - cedar; minerals. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily; semi-sweet yet assertive piney-earthy-woodsy finish. no issue with my bottle compared to others from the same box - but had some issues with their porter whilst some bottles from same box were ok, go figure.. anyhow, it is bold, lightly smoked, woodsy and vinous - some characteristics that i truly enjoy in strong stouts. good stuff!
