Tap. Pours clear chestnut, medium tan head, dissipates fairly slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is quite fruity, dark breads, figs, dark sugars, molasses, a bit of spiciness. Flavor is medium sweet, very light bitter. Medium body.

On tap at Pater Marcus in Budapest. Pours a deep brown colored body with an inch thick, dense, creamy and foamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is sweeter caramels with a bit of a nuttiness, some dark fruit notes, touches of toast, and grain. Flavor is similar. Some sweeter, darker caramels with a bit of a toasty, grainy, nuttiness. A few more esters and dark fruits before this finishes dry with a lightly spiced, somewhat grassy bitterness that is balanced nicely by some caramel. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. Well balanced and flavorful. Not bad.

On rap at pater markus, Budapest. Decent white head. Clear dark ruby pour. Nice enough brew.

Pater Marcus, Budapest.

Draught at the Pater Marcus, Budapest, Hungary.
Dark reddish brown colour with big creamy off-white head. Delicious aroma of caramel malt, hoppy fruitiness, apricot and some sourness. Toasted malt, sweet sugar, sweetener and mild dry fruity hops in flavour. Mild spices in aftertaste. Mild alcohol can be tasted when beer gets warmer. I’m not sure if I’m just confused of all this Lager around me in Budapest but this is pretty damn solid and good brew.

Hungary 2010, bottle. Dark brown with red highlights, two finger tan head with no lacing. Aroma is fruity esters. Taste is an explosion of caramel, dark candied fruit, licorice, and toast. Fairly acidic.

Draught at Pater Marcus, Budapest
Poured a brown-red body, slightly hazy, with a thick tan head that stuck for awhile. Odd, quite creamy malty nose, dried figs, alcohol, coriander. Nice, sweet taste with loads of what I deemed to be coriander, somewhat reminiscent of orange. Very light roastiness. Interesting, kinda drinkable and different but not really a great beer.

Draught at Pater Marcus, Budapest.
Reddish/ruby coloured, medium sized creamy beige head, fruity nose with touch of alcohol. Sweet malty, very fruity and caramel with notes of dark fruits (mostly cherries). Quite tasty and interesting beer but the finish is somehow huge letdown; short and watery.
