Appearance : Pale yellow with a big foamy head.
Aroma : Very malty with some herbal hops. Really fresh and nicely herbal. Light fruit with light sugary notes.
Taste : Malty and dry herbal hops. Nice fruity notes.
Overall : Wow very fresh and drinkable. Nice herbal profile. Great beer.
From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small and lacing white head. Aroma is distinct grassy and towards herbal. Fruity hops flavoured, subdued sweetness impression and crisp grassy to mild citrusy notes. Bonedry and bitter finish, light yeasty note. Quite cloudy, even for a zwickel. Dull tan. Footy nose but with toasty hops. Footy, country/stale horse shit accent is predominant, and lends the beer an interesting character. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2009
Draft at brewpub. Orange, hazy with a very thick white head. The aroma is big, nutty, and fresh. The nuttyness is pronounced, almost like pistachio, and smells enticing. Also toasted oats and sweet whole kernal grain and a bit of orange peel in here. The aroma is tainted somewhat by a touch of pedio! Soft palate with a granular feel on the tongue, and not so prickly. Flavors are excellent like wholemeal biscuit but not sweet. Dry finish after a fruity grape-like flavor. Very nice. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 9, 2008
(7/3/08) Draught at the brewpub in Munich. Hazy orange color with a medium white head. Aroma has some malt, a bit of caramel, earthy notes and light grassy hoppiness. Sweetish and slightly caramelly flavor upfront, continues slightly drier with some mild grassy bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub, of course. Clear gold with a big white head. Excellent lace. Honey, grain and floral notes. A nice brew. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2008
At the brewpub. Spritzy orange haze with a dense white collar. Lovely fresh interplay of gently soapy, piney hop, freash bread and cookie-ish malt. Maybe a nibble of citrus in there. Delicious, and owing to a mix-up between waiter and waitress, on the house. CASHBACK! MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. The flavour is nicely bready like fresh white bread. Also slightly spicy with a hint of fruit making it quite refreshing. Cloudy orange colour. Big, semi-stable white head. ogivlado (7810) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 26, 2008
On tap at the brewpub as Paulaner Bräuhaus Helles.
Ernest (7695) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2007
In comparison with Hacker-Pschorr Bavaria Bräu Helles this one is a bit too watery and slight darker in body. Also weaker in flavor.
At the brewpub in Munich.
Head is frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (dough), with a light note of soap.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly salty, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/soft carbonation.
Not much going on here, and there’s some minor unpleasantries as well. Drinkable, but not much more.
