Lighter wheaty malt smell. Is this a wheat lager? Hazy deep golden color. White head lasts respectively. Basically it sucks. The Germans need to take lessons from Merica to learn how to cook mash.

TheJestersBeer (2431) - SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2013
Draught. Hazy medium straw, white head. Malty aroma, hops, citrus, faint diacetyl. Off-dry, mb mbit bco. Malty, sweetish taste, hops yeast caramel, citrus faint diac. Sweeter than the Munich original, but otherwise quite enjoyable. (2013-03-08)

An enjoyable sweet cold bready helles, with a nice coating mouthfeel. Good beer.

northropfrye (3688) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 22, 2012
Golden yellow colour with nice white head. Nice sweet bready aroma. Sweet malt flavour. Very refreshing. Not a bad beer.

Camons (13223) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2012
Tap @ Brewpub in Pudong. Pours slightly hazy golden with a fading white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, light straw. Taste is malt, very yeasty, light straw. Medium body, average carbonation. Boring and unbalanced beer. 150112

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2010
Dark yellow colored with medium sized yellow head, slightly hazy appearance. Thin to medium bodied. Handmade yeasty aroma with crispy hops, thin lemon also comes up. Flavor is more dry in yeasty start, lemon, aftertaste dries even more. Decent handmade touch.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 28, 2010
Draft @ brewpub. Hazy golden orange with stable head. Almost smells like they use malt extract, syrupy like kit beer, no complexity in the aroma and flavors. Sticky, gummy palate. Way too yeasty tasting. A very poor, thin rendition.

Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2010
Cloudy straw. Some malt, but decent yeast character. Thin, a little yeasty. Some malt character. A little acidity, some off-notes. This one really doesn’t deliver on the promise of Munich.

Pauliner Brauahus are a german pub chain in Shanghai, Ive had this beer a few times while Ive been here, Its lacking in flavour, with a poor flavour lacking bite and taste, and usually served warm even though its supposed to be a lager/beer Shocking!! Go to Castle Oktober Instead.

SJP (483) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2003
Nice and crisp, and without the burden of rice flavors like almost every other beer in China. This makes up for Tsingdao beng from a German brewer. This was the third liter I had of the night, so my notes have some holes in them. But I'll be back to revise my rating soon.
