UPDATED: DEC 21, 2010 50cl can. Cloudy amber/gold with a big white head that leaves a delicate layer of foam after a few minutes. Tart and sweet banana aroma with plenty of yeastiness. creamy medium body with fizzy but smooth carbonation. Rerate shows much more fruity and interresting flavors, maybe even a little more than i would like. almost no hops in the finish. On par with the other bavarian weissbiers I’ve had, but not special. Rerate: bottled at the hostel in Munich, three years later. A relatively washed-out yeast profile on the whole, though the essential elements are still there. Body is a bit watery as well. Just a streamlined weizen for the mass market and lacking the character that I came to appreciate i many of the more flavorful Bavarian examples while in Munich.
Refreshing, hints of banana. Large frothy white head, very lasting. Sweet taste along the standard for the style. Nice finish, a bit of alcohol. One of the best hefeweizens in my opinion. theviolet (186) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Immediately very bright aroma, wheat and lots of banana. Very nice and refreshing. Unclear and golden, very cloudy with lots of bubbles rising to the top. Nice small white head that is lasting. Really nice flavor, i like it. Some light fruitiness, a little alcohol in the finish. Some banana in the flavor too. Mouthfeel is bubbly and refreshing. Nice beer. This beer is a cloudy amber/straw color with a thick and foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Patchy lacing. Aromas of citrus, wheat and clove dominate. Medium body with a nice array of flavors. Wheat, grainy malt, banana and spices are all intermingled with an underlying tartness. The finish is yeast and bananas followed by a light hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around. heavy (2904) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 25, 2007
0.5 l bottle. Vol. 5.5%. Pours murky golden body with medium head. Very nice aroma of banana and wheat is also noticed, with also hints of orange hops. Flavor is sweetish, wheat is again felt of course and there are some hints of fruits. Light bodied but definitely not empty, very well balanced. Carbonation felt mostly on palate. Very pleasant long and quite light finish. Indeed, great wheat beer.

On tap - Poured hazy yellow color with small head. Hefe weiss beers are not my favorite but this is one of the better ones I have had. Very light mouthfeel and is almost like drinking a non alcoholic drink. kringlan (20) - Falun, SWEDEN - SEP 22, 2007
Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier Naturtrüb, 500 ml bottle 5.5% at Systembolaget, Sweden. Hazy, cloudy and beautifully golden. Medium whitish head. Creamy mouth feel, carbonation fairly high. Aroma of wheat, banana (strong), lemon, orange, cloves (faint) and yeast. Strong banana flavor with wheat, lemon, orange and cloves; maybe a hint of toffee. Aftertaste of bitter grapefruit. Very, very nice! Wonderfully refreshing! Can’t wait to drown some on a hot day! DuffLover (129) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 21, 2007
Aroma of wheat, apples, and citrus. Appearance is a cloudy tan with a creamy white head. Sweet flavor with an excellent balance of fruit and grains. Palate has good body and moderate carbonation. Overall an outstanding hefeweizen. charlotte (5425) - rødovre, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2007
Hazy orange with white head.Aroma ofwheat and banana, sweet and fresh with smooth mouth feels o.k.Hefeweizen. ElGaucho56 (394) - USA - SEP 17, 2007
Pours hazy golden orange with a bubbly head, zesty lemon, wheat sweetness on the nose, velvety body with slight sweetness and just a touch of hops in the finish. Probably the smoothest hefe-weizen around.
