This is an absolute belter of a Hefeweizen from Deutschland. One of, if not the best, in my opinion. A lovely cloudy yellow colour and a hoppy yet sweet, citrus taste to die for. One can add nothing more.

I found this great beer with a huge aromas actually had the hops upfront and the and the sweet body following afterwards. It has a long aftertaste that reminds me of fat on bacon. I could drink this all night and it has to be just great on tap.

Bottle. Yellow cloudy pour with two inches of foamy white head. Taste is kind of watery. Strong finish of bubblegum and banana.

Bottle; Poured a dark gold, almost orange color; small to medium white head. Aroma of bananas/yeast, cloves and apples. Refreshing and crisp. Some acidity. Flavor was very subdued to me; Flavor of banana and yeast, a small amount of spice, and some fruity esters. Good, but have enjoyed others in the style more.

bottle. The aroma was slightly bready with hints of CO2 in the nose. The finish was a bit yeasty. Light/medium body, golden haze appearance. nicely carbonated. I spent a day trying about 7 different hefe’s and this one was my favorite.

Tasted at Stone Brewery. Good aroma of banana and cloves, which are just as apparent in the taste and ends with a crisp finish. A good beer for the end of a hot day.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2011 From Bottle. Amber hazy body with a fluffy lasting white head. Ripe banana nose with bready wheat hints. Banana flavors in mouth with a rather acid finishing. Creamy and round, lacks some crispiness because of low carbonation. A well-done weizen for german standards. Re-rate 2011: Improved carbonation increases crispiness and highlighs aromas. It is now close to the top of the weizen.

Lots of fresh banana on the nose of this cloudy yellow pour. Thick head. Yeasty body with hints of banana among the wheat flavor. Yeasty with lots of carbonation

Second beer during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Friday beer tasting of "Lawn Mower Beers." Pours a cloudy dark golden yellow brew with a thick white slowly diminishing head. Nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana, bubble gum, and citrus. Taste is very mild, medium creamy and soft carbonation. Finish is soft and dry with a slight banana aftertaste. A terrific summer brew.
