Light, refreshing, and spicy, without heavy hop flavor. Instead of hoppiness, the beer has flavors of citrus, banana, and spices.

A very nice German wheat beer. A nice golden colour with a hint of clove spice on the nose and a nice malty wheat taste with good carbonation and a nice white head.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle to a hazy yellow-orange with a thick off-white head. Strong wheat and dough aroma, with clove spice. Hint of some fruits, but couldn’t determine what they were. A good medium body and a flavor that was fruits and spices....very good. My only complaint was the finish. From the first sips to the last warmed up swallow, this beer did not imopress me with the aftertaste..part dry, but mostly just short and bland. Overall, though, I could see several of these on a hot summer day later this year.

HumbertHumbert (77) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 11, 2006
On draft at Darcy’s, Denver. Poured a much richer orange color than I remember and was served with an orange slice (why?) which made me wonder if I wasn’t drinking a dunkelweiss, despite the non-dunkel tap handle. Still, it was an attractive beer and I removed the orange before it could taint the beer, which had a nice clovely aroma and flavor with some wheat tartness and a little caramel maltiness. Good creamy mouthfeel and subtle bitter finish.

This hefeweizen has a soft aroma with a hint of banana. It’s appearance is slightly cloudy and a solid, bland yellow. The taste is not overbearing with a little accent of banana, bubble gum, and citrus. It’s very mild and great to drink in the sun on a summer’s day. Good stuff.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2010 Cloudy dark yellow, thick creamy and persistent white head. Looks good. Banana aroma. Taste is rather mild but rather complex with the banana, wheat, some citrus and mild spices. Doughy yeast. Medium creamy body. Soft carbonation. An easily drinkable beer that’s mild enough for the occasional drinker yet solid enough for the real beer lover. You won’t hear me say anything bad about this beer. Actually you won’t hear me say anything at all since you are reading me.

a fine brew indeed. I got lots of gumball wheatiness in the aroma, along with some lemon and banana of course. Some clove and nutmeg rounded out the aroma. The flavor was palpably lemon and banana. Like banana nut bread in a bottle. The clove flavor was excellent, and it really softened the lemon. Excellent malts and just a very fine session hefe indeed.

Appearance: Cloudy, hazy golden with orange hues. pours with a yellowish head with nice clingy lace Aroma:Yeasty some grainy notes and muted spices and effervescent fruity aroma. Caramel and lemony flavors emerge as the beer warms Flavor: Caramelly, wheat malt, some sour notes.. finishing with big fuity flavors Palate: Medium-light body, very spritzy making it lighter than it seems. Finishes dry and with lingering banana and some honey flavors Overall: A very good hefe-weizen seems a little insipid and fizzy than anything else Having tried it on tap in Germany and the Ayinger I think this leaves something to be desired. Then again on a hot summer day, a fabulous refreshing brew... Cheers!

Hazy yellowish orange color.. typical cloudy hefe... has a light citrus bannana flavor, with a mix of apricots and raisens. A nice refreshing brew on a nice warm day...
