UPDATED: JAN 3, 2008 On Tap and in a bottle poured into a glass. A sweet almost banana smelling beer. Pours a nice cloudy yellow color with a thick creamy head. A mellow and smooth tasting Hef. It is a pretty good Hefeweizen, but I actually preferred Hacker-Pschor’s Hef. A little too sweet tasting for me. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - MAR 7, 2007
12oz bottle. medium hazy golden orange. thin white head. aroma of wheat and bananas. flavors of creamy malt. medium bodied. rdelljh (177) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2007
pours a cloudy golden color. Slight hints of orange to the color. small white head. The aroma was quite nice. It was yeasty, wheaty, and spicy, also with notes of banana. The flavors mirrored the aromas. ScoWRee (423) - Perkiomen, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2007
Pours golden with a great big fluffy head. Aroma of wheat and fruit. Tastes like bannana in a glass. Sweet crisp and fruity. Yeasty. A nice Hefe RCL (2032) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 6, 2007
Kinda like drinking fruity clouds. Definitely one of the best hefes out there. Rich yeasty aroma but very light on the palate and filled with classic bubble gum hefe flavors.

This is the only hefe where I tasted raspberries, peaches and I think the beer is too sweet. Page 353 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 299 of his 500 Classic Brews to go. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2007
Draught - Kean’s Head Nottingham. A hazy dark yellow coloured hefe with a nice bright white head. The aroma has lots of bananas and bubblegum, and estery notes. The taste has more of the same and it is very nicely bodoed. Some toffee flavours also. I think hefes work better from tap than from the bottle. bradmccarroll (57) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2007
You’d think you were smelling a banana in a glass. Seriously. The smell is AMAZING. IT pours a hazy, dark gold color with ample white head which seems to really stick around. Flavor is quite sweet with fruity subtle notes. It is VERY smooth and silky, which matches the color and aroma quite well. Overall I’d rate this as one of the better Hefeweizen’s I’ve had. A must try. joe1510 (501) - Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2007
Bottled on 5/06
Paulaner’s Hefe poured really nice looking hazy bright orange with a big 2+ finger white micro bubbled head. The head faded to a nice creaminess.
Smells like a hefe-weizen should. I smell the wheat. Along ith banana and a touch of clove. Brings to mind a banana bread. There is also a citrus (lemon) freshness coming through at the end.
Taste is good as well. The wheat comes through along with a spiciness of the yeast coming up front.Finishes with a squeeze of lemon. Very nice.
Mouthfeel is good. A nice carbonation tingle throughout the mouth. Medium-light bodied.
Drinkability is up there on this one. It’s refreshing and the mouthfeel lends itself to a very drinkable beer.

Pour was a hazy gold with a stiff white head. Nose was yeast with some lemon-banana and sweet candy hints. Taste was a bit grainy with all the tastes from the nose. Some lingering fruit on the and. Nice .
