Aldrighetti (163) - Coltura, ITALY - DEC 9, 2003
Bottled. Brownish foam, small size bubbles with a continuous perlage, head disappears slowly, glass sticking. wulfhere (218) - Billings, Montana, USA - NOV 21, 2003
Dark amber to light brown colour, hazy. "Warm" spicy aroma (clove, nutmeg, cinnamon), fruity (ripe banana, dried banana), weak yeasty (dough, boiled meat) on a base of toasted malt.
Taste of ripe fruit, light yeasty flavor. Honeyish charachter, no bitterness, finish dry, well balanced. Medium to light body, creamy texture, high carbonation.
Aromatic, spicy charachter, an "autumnal" weizen.
I bought a case of this a couple of years ago, so this one may be a bit old. Nice head, nice dark brown color as you'd expect. The flavor is a bit bitter and has a wheat wang to it that's maybe sharper than it was when this beer was fresh. Nice yeasty flavor and hints of carmel and a sligh off flavor of cabbage which isn't all bad in this beer. skortila (5996) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2003
Wheat, some spices in aroma, bit sweet. Orange brown coloured, cloudy with a lasting head. Taste is sweet, malty, some citrus. Palate is wheaty with some bitterness. Decent brew. Ungstrup (38587) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 12, 2003
An unclear dark amber beer with a great head. The aroma is a powerful wheat aroma and somewhat sweet. The flavor is a really nice round wheat flavor. Great for a wheat beer. Raaha (67) - Michigan, USA - APR 4, 2003
brown color, cream head, Nice finish. Smooth going down, Good afternoon beer.
omhper (25805) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2003
Bottled. Muddy orange-brown with creamy, lively head. Medium estery banana aroma. Sweet and lightly roasty with notes of vanilla. Banana finish. RobBestwick (971) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 10, 2003
wheaty nose with hints of cloves, cloudy copper hue with a massive foamy head, malts, bananas and strawberries, syrupy with a malt aftertaste RichardGretton (4794) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2003
Murky brown beer, with hints of nutmeg and cinnimon in the aroma. Typical dunkel flavour, but slightly too watery. A pleasant enough beer but I have had better dunkels. uhorpheus (215) - houston, Texas, USA - FEB 4, 2003
Nice dunkel, nothing special or distinguishing though. I had it on tap, and it had a small but rich head, with a weak wheat/grainy aroma. No citrus at all, not as much wheat characteristic as I expected. caesar (7332) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 17, 2002
Pretty dark appearance. It has a typical wheat taste, with a fresh, citrus-like flavor and therefore easy to drink.
