Test vom 11.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,9,9,9,14,9 - 9,65

Theydon_Bois (20452) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2015
Bottle at Paulaner Stuttgart, 08/02/15. Chestnut brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is bready malt, straw, apple pie, caramel. Taste comprises cereal, caramel, light vanilla, hint of citric peel, brown bread, grain, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff.

On tap at Southwark Tavern Borough. Bizarre how I haven’t had this before. Clear dark brown colour lasting beige head. Malty aroma. Ok in mouth. Bit more brown malt. Ok if lacking interest and character. Fine

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2005) Dark golden, nice brownish head. Malty vanilla aroma. A bit boring flavor, but a quite nice bitterness shows in the finish.

This was actually at The Brewery in Larnaca, Cyprus, where is was labelled as the house dunkel. The keg told me what beer it really was. Golden chestnut with caramel head. Nice fresh grain aroma. Sweetish character, sort of nutty, with lots of brown sugar.

My 200th German beer rating.
Dark ruby red, small off-white head. Lemony hoppy nose. Crisp, light malty roasted flavor. Slightly sweet. Short aftertaste. Quite boring dunkel.

yngwie (17171) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 23, 2010
Bottle. An amber beer, clear as can be, and topped by a small and rapidly disappearing off-white head. Toffee, some dms and a hint of dried fruits in the aroma. Too weak. Not very pronounced flavor either, caramel and hay doing most of the job. Medium body with too much carbonation, quite dry. The finish has a decent bitterness to balance the caramel. Boring, but sure drinkable. 100423

FatPhil (16899) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 6, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2013 500ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Oktoberfest 2008)
Mid brown, brief head. Sweet caramel, and slight nuttiness. Nothing particularly special, but I enjoyed it.
Rerate: Tap (Somewhere in Gangnam, near exit 9 of the station) (3:3:4:2:7=2.1)
Sweet and sour aroma. Cold. Watery and a bit fizzy. Some sweet malts and a bit brown, even mushroomy. Hasn’t travelled well, not going to change my recorded rating.
