When the Original Münchner was brewed for the first time at the end of the 19th Century, it was a spectacular success. With its hoppy taste, subtle, light and elegant, it becomes ever popular. Today the Paulaner Original Münchner is the best sold Münchner Hellbier (lager beer) in the world and Paulaner's No. 1 export beer in over 30 countries with its wonderfully subtle, spicy, naturally hearty taste.

I was expecting a little more from this Paulaner. Even because I have tasted others of the brand of great quality. Maybe it's still the beginning of the carnival. We'll try again.

Hellgelb bis Gelb, brilliant. Feinporig, weißer Schaum. Hopfenblumige Aromen, malzig, süßlich. Schmeckt nach Honig. Schlanker Körper, weich, süffig. Ein solides, süßes Helles. 0,5l-Flasche am 26.1.18

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2018 The problem with Munich style lagers is that they are good fresh, the time this beer spends sitting on the shelf in the store influences its taste a lot. However, not too shabby but nothing out of the decent average.

Incredibly crisp and refreshing lager. Malt doesn’t linger; it sticks around for the bit and then its off. Well balanced. Drank extremely cold in the extreme cold (haha) on the last day of the outdoor “German” Christmas market. Crappy plastic cup, but good lager, to be fair!

SarkyNorthener (5075) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2018
Bottle from Beerwulf online. Golden beer with large foam head. Aroma of....well it's hard to describe. It smells and tastes like a helles or any other type of lager should. Clean, crisp and fresh. Very good.

Towey1989 (3563) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of cereal, slight bready malts and subtle grass. Taste of cereal, some bready malts, slight grass and subtle butter. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A soft, dry, cereal malt bitterness in the finish. A typical german helles really. Decent.
