Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Dark gold label showing Paulaner Münchner Hell Munich Lager. Crystal clear, bright gold. Thin, bubbly, white head. Nose has sweet grain. Light, leafy hop. Thin sick. Taste is bready sweet. Minimal bitterness. Clean enough mouthfeel. Light body. Finish has some dryness. Ok. Prefer a German lager to have more grassy hop, though.

330ml bottle into shaker. Bottle says ’Original Munich Lager’. Crystal clear amber beer with thin film of suds on top, light but steady carbonation. Nose is stale cardboard and boredom. Full body, grainy and bitter taste. Finish is more cardboard, sour bread and distant malt. Right at the end some spicy hop notes appear. Designed as an easy-drinking quaffer but not one I would choose.

50cl can from SuperAlko, Tallinn. Pours crystal clear pale golden without much head to speak of. Mild malty aroma with slightly fruity notes and hints of grass and honey. Moderate sweet with rather mild grainy flavours and a light bitterness. Fair enough - easy to drink and somewhat refreshing.
