Pour from an 11.2 Oz bottle, case from Costco. Clear amber brew with small off white head. Aroma of bready malt, faint grass and a little spice. Taste is moderate sweet malt up front with a modest grassy finish. Some spice at the end - nutmeg or allspice ? - and slight re-emergence of the sweet malt at the end as well. Perfectly crafted and I won’t mind drinking up the case that I just bought, but really not much of a standout by current standards.

The smoothest oktoberfest without a harsh, bitterness that most have, primarily due to the Marzen

Pours a nice Amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is brown bread malts and some sugary sweetness. The taste is mostly malts with no hop presence. There is more of the aroma here as well with the brown bread and sugar.

I had the Oktoberfest Marzen style distributed in the U.S. from a bottle. I bought a six-pack for my Cousin and I to try when he was visiting recently. We both took a few sips, looked at each other and said "Yeah, this is really good." Medium body, nice sweetness, good hop undertone with only limited bitterness, very, very easy and enjoyable to drink. I don’t drink a lot of beer in one sitting (just 1 or 2) but I can totally see having a oversized Octoberfest mug of this being put in front of me and drinking it down with no problem. Great stuff.

Aromas are malty - sweet, bread, caramel, toffee, just a little bit of funky barnyard too, perhaps the yeast? Not much hops. Color is a pleasant clear amber with a small off-white head. Taste is fairly sweet; bitterness is very mild. Alcohol is low; body fairly light; carbonation average; finish is moderate length, sweet, bread and toffee. Overall a fairly good beer; not my favorite style, but this is an excellent example of the Oktoberfest Marzen style.

Keg at Draft House Charlotte. It pours a clean pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma is grainy and lightly sweet. Taste is also grainy and lightly sweet and biscuit. Medium bodid with good carbonation. Overall, quite nice

Bottle as Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen (US) from World Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is dark bread, some spiced bread (touch of cinnamon / nutmeg), honey. Taste is bready, smooth and crisp with a balanced touch of hop bitterness. Extremely drinkable.
