On tap. As Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen. Pours a clear gold with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of grainy malt, bread, caramel and a hint of fruit. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, bread, corn, caramel and mild fruit with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad.

From Oct 2005

Bottle with a produced on date of 05.05

Poured a sweet looking gold with a good sized head that tamed down but remained throughout.

The smell was of fresh bread, like walking into an Albertson's at 5pm. ;^)

The taste was a pretty complex mix of the above mentioned bread, malt, and a tinge of a sour note which extended the after taste.

A nice amber. One that I'd love to try again.
