COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Paulaner Salvator with its strong, typically malty taste is the original Paulaner. The bottom-fermented Doppelbock-Bier unites the finest hops and dark barley malt. The Paulaner monks served Salvator as a replacement for food at Lent. Their most famous brewer was Brother Barnabas, who was the head of the Paulaner monastery brewery starting from 1773. Its original recipe is today almost the same as it was in Barnabas’ time. In order to protect the original recipe, Paulaner had the trade mark "Salvator" patented in 1896.

Pours a cloudy dark amber with orange hue, thin light tan head, no lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, herbal hops, a light brown sugar. Flavor is complex, sweet, and matches the aroma well. This is a pretty nice (and slightly different) doppelbock.

Dark amber poured into a short dimpled half liter mug with very little visual carbonation. Sweet malt and raisin aroma. Medium body with some sweet malt. The alcohol is well hidden. Filling finish. I thought this beer use to be a little dryer and less sweet. Still one of the best doppelbocks in the world.

W aromacie melanoidyny, goździki, metaliczność. Barwa bursztynowa, klarowne, piana drobnopęcherzykowa, niska. W smaku słodowe, nuty opiekane, zboże, alkohol rozgrzewa przełyk. Chyba nie zostanę fanem koźlaków.

Barwa bursztynowa, klarowne, obręcz kremowej piany. W zapachu goździki, opiekana skórka od chleba, ziemiste, korzenne nuty, lekki banan, zboże. W smaku przyprawy, zboże, alkohol. Wysycenie niskie.

Great bockbeer this, it's still the season of bock and I crave the real ones, this one is for real, raisins and smokey caramel flavour. It is the whole picture.

Certainly one of the best value/widely available European brews that’s out there. Pint+ @ 3 bucks...can’t beat that. And it just happens to be outstanding, as well. Appearance resembles a Barleywine - including the short term head. The Taste at 45degrees or above is complex and delightful: malty, smooth, slightly warming. Aftertaste is English-Barleywine ‘like’.

Wygląd: Bursztynowy, piana beżowa, niska i szybko opada.

Aromat: Słodowy, słodki, chlebowy, ale raczej taki środek chleba i raczej jasnawy.
No lekkie estry i karmel, dosyć przyjemnie, czysto

Smak: Jest słodycz, ale niezbyt wysoka. W smaku znowu słód, lekka piwniczność,
chleb, lekkie owoce.

Nice label but not a lot of information about this beer here.
Clear red brown beer with big long fine cream-colored head, smell is sour and malty, light grass, taste is light sweet and at the end light bitter, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, alcoholic, overripe dark fruits,
(I have 0.5l bottle with best-before 10.18 and batch L28575 N)
