Launched as a 20 litre keg beer in March 2007 as a competitor to Leffe Blond.
"The finished beer has a fresh, soft maltiness that is aromatic without being cloying or too full on the palate. It has a light, hoppy character with a dryish, balanced finish and a surge of warming alcohol."

(Draught) Pale, clear gold, with a small white head. Sweetish, malty aroma. Fruity malt-dominated flavor with a whisper of grassy hops. Moderately carbonated, clean mouthfeel.

On tap at ’Salvator’ as ’(Paulaner) Maibock’ at 6.4/6.5% abv according to the waiter, but apparently ’brewed by Thomas Bräu’ so I guess it’s this one. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, malty, slightly grassy and a bit floral aroma of honey, straw and some grains. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly grassy and a bit floral taste of honey, grains, straw and hints of banana, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pretty well-balanced, pleasant and quite saturating brew, I like it!

On tap at Gambrinus Gastropub Minsk, Belarus as Paulaner St. Thomas Bock. Clear golden coloured, small white head, sweetish malty nose. Sweet malty, bready, light alcoholic, notes of fruits and grain with dryish sweet finish. Nothing special here.

vinivini (2418) - Gomel, BELARUS - DEC 10, 2016
Tap. Clear golden, rich white creamy head. Stays. Malty aroma. Candy, grains, minimal booze. Medium body. Clean malty flavour. Warming. Fits the style well.

Dark golden color. The mouth is sweetish, estry. Very nice sweetish finish. Not a huge flavor but nice.

Ragnampiza (751) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - JAN 4, 2015
200 ml on tap. Very pale gold, perfectly clear, with a small, creamy and persistent bright white head. Good lacing. On the nose white bread, wet hay, light floral hops notes, a hint of butter. Pleasent bitterness, even though it doesn’t really last that long. Taste of crackers/bread and pale malts. Slightly papery aftertaste. Pretty watery but refreshing/thirst quenching. Average carbonation, light body, creamy texture. Just OK.

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 10, 2014
on tap at apetit festival pilsen 2014 at the paulaner stall. sure enough, blonde with a fluffy head; dull aroma of soggy cereal; seems watered down - faint, slightly tinny bitterness and nougat. snooze

jice (373) - Grenoble, FRANCE - JUN 13, 2014
Si c’est pour concurrencer la Leffe, pourquoi pas. Trop de Leffe tue la Leffe, si j’ai le choix, je prends la St Thomas et je délaisse la Leffe.

Wolfbass (1166) - Firenze, ITALY - MAY 20, 2014
Bevuta ad una festa della birra, e secondo me era abbastanza annacquata, niente di convincente...

Camons (12450) - Hasselager, DENMARK - APR 13, 2014
Draught @ Lowenbrau, Rome. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, grain, light sourness, hay. Flavor is malt, grain, little sour, hay, grass. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not totally of, but not fresh either. 080414
