COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Paulaner Weissbier Kristallklar features a more intense wheat malt taste than its Hefeweissbier. There’s a fine sparkling clarity to it, achieved by a very special early-filtering method.

Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Yupp, it’s crystal clear golden one with a small off-white top. Why someone would filter a weiz is for me a mystery. The nose is light sweet, I get wheat, some banana and not much more really. Quite blend and low on the nose. It’s average on the carbonation with a thin oily mouthfeel. Light sweet wheaty flavors. Ripe bananas with wet cardboard and not really much more. A dull and odd genre, and this was just within those parameters. 05.01.2012

gift from son Kyle - Thanks! --- bb 02/2018 --- Aroma of malt. Clear bright golden amber color, fluffy white head that finally drops to a full cover, mottled sheets of lace. Taste is malt with extra light spices, medium carbonation, and light hops to finish. There is a little wet cardboard near the end, not enough to kill it, but detrimental none-the-less. Primarily good, not great.

0,5l bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks. BB 12/2017. golden clear shiny color, medium big white head. smells musty, lightly citric, ripe fruits, bit metallic. ok smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, ripe fruits, earthy, bit metallic, tobacco, some sweetness. finishes lightly bitter with notes of ripe fruits, citrus and light metallic notes. not the biggest fan of this, has some unpleasant notes, overall still okish though.

Grumpelmies (318) - GERMANY - APR 1, 2017
Bottle. Pale golden. Looks like a Pils or Helles actually. Aroma of Lemons and a very small hint of yeast. Taste is lemons, bread and malts. Sour and slightly hoppy. Aftertaste is a little bit dry. Low carbonation. Drinks like a lemonade. Nice thirst quencher but I just don’t like this style like I used to in my salad days. Everything I love about Hefeweizen is mussing. Well done though.

Het valt overal tussenin. Het ziet er prachtig uit, maar het heeft weinig aroma en de body is dunnetjes. Het heeft een groenige frisheid die de tarwe overvleugelt en een nasmaak die razendsnel vervliegt.
