Bottle 33cl. It pours a beautiful red/brown clear colour, with a good size head, drink this in the proper glass and it looks even better. Aroma is of malts, raisins and apple, very complex, but can be defined pretty well if you just take your time. Taste is also very good and complex, could detect raisins, spices and a slight trace of grapefruit. Overall a very enjoyable beer.

Nice light brown to rust pour. Hard to characterize this ale. Nice laced head with a sweet malty aroma. I think I like their Karmeliet so much I was expecting something different. It’s a fine ale with sweet malt and dark fruit tones. Nice mouth feel. Enjoyable, but not extraordinary. Balanced but a bit thinner than other Belgian strong ales.

’Aroma is clean, sweet, some hops, but don’t play a huge role. Taste is bready, yeasty, sweet brown. Lots of malt sweetness that is well-balanced with the slight hoppiness and estery, earthy dryness. Finishes wet and doughy, ironically. Nice.

hazy amber pour with thick white head; sweet malty aroma with spices. Bready taste with caramel malt, spices, and dark fruit. Well balanced finish and smooth and creamy on the palate.

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy and copper with a small white head. Sweet, malty aroma, plus raisins, dates, caramel, plums, vanilla, and alcohol. Very inviting. Moderately sweet malty flavor with dried fruit present, fading to a tart finish. Alcohol is present in the finish, but is well masked. A fine beer, smooth and very tasty.

Poured deep orange/amber color with a mid to small head. Fruity aroma mixed with malt-like overtone. Sweet finish that left a great taste.

Bottle & tap @ Caf Gollem. Amber beer, off-white head. Looks very nice in its own glass. Aroma is sweet, caramel and sweet fruits. Flavour is very sweet, malty, caramel, fruity. Way too sweet for me. Decent brew though, because of the very smooth mouthfeel.
