Orange, copper colour. Toffee nose and sweet aroma. Caramel body. Lingering toffee finish. A touch sweet for my personal taste, but a decent beer overall. Served in traditional, crazy glassware. ZappaFan (6) - Bronx, New York, USA - DEC 9, 2008 does not count
Sweet, caramel-like. Spicy aftertaste. the head didn’t hold up well. Pretty good beer overall, would recommend. EFC1878 (315) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2008
Bottle. Pretty much lacking in everything. Head immediately vanishes, little aroma - malt and alcohol, some fruit but not enough for the style and a surprisingly thin body for its ABV. Nothing nasty, reasonably pleasant but ultimately too straightforward and a disappointment. EHopper (620) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 2, 2008
Aroma of banana baby good, not translated in taste. Just an easy drinking beer, nice, balanced amount of malt, fruit and spice, with some light candy sweetness. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 30, 2008
Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a darkish red/brown. Aromas of spice, coriander, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor has an alcohol taste to it, mixed with a nice smokey dark fruit. Also has strong hints of spice and orange.

0.33 l bottle. Amber color. Sweetish, tart, fruity, spicy, toffeish and caramelly aroma.
The flavor is toffeish, caramelly, tart fruity, peppery and slightly clovey with slightly warming palate. Pleasant enough to drink again, pretty tame in belgian standards. jbuzz (831) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 21, 2008
Bubble gum and rich roast in the aroma. Creamy and long lasting. A very nice easy strong Belgian to drink. stryk (30) - Farsta, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2008 One of the classic belgian ales out there.. served in its classic glass with tree holder.
A must try even if it isnt really a fantastic beer but still very good allround.
A bit special amber tripel like beer
Seville orange, a bit sweet, caramel, a hint of banana & plum.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2010 Bottle. Pours with large light brown head and dark amber color for the body. Body is hazy and lacing is strong. Aromas of flowers, bananas, cherry, and roasted malts. Creamy texture with a nice palate that results in a rather long duration. Sticky finish with a very pleasing aftertaste. Tastes of bananas, cherry, and hints of raisin. Much better bottle than I had the last time I rated this beer, although I had aged this bottle around 2 years. Highly recommend buying a few and putting them away! ted22ny (6) - , New York, USA - OCT 12, 2008 does not count
