This is an excellent Belgian beer that I always buy whenever one of my friends takes a trip to Belgium. It helps to have connections! I have my own proper Kwak glass to drink it in, too. Its a good color with a nice vanilla/caramel finish. Its smooth on the palate. Hard to believe its an 8% beer. It goes down SMOOTH!

22oz bottle. Pours a awesome looking burnt red color with a foamy creamy head light tan in color. Leaves a small head for the duration. Nose is slight sour with notes of plum and bananna touch of alcohol. The taste is sour plum up front with a somewhat thin palate but a awesome lingering finish of vanilla caramel. This seems like it was maybe oak aged it has that woody vanilla taste. A very very underated and tasty brew.

Botlle, 33cl, This beer has a deep amber colour with a tiny beige head. It has a malty and smooth flavor, good body. It also has a nice, fruity aroma.

Pours caramel brown with light tan head. Nice bread dough aroma. Sweet malty flavor with Belgian yeast. Thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. A good BSA.

Bottle from Rivers Bend. Poured clear reddish amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex sour citrus yeasty aroma. Medium body. Flavor was full with sweet yeasty tone and spices with a moderate sweet finish and small alcohol bite. Good brew.

0.33L bottle. Amber red colour, a little hazy, almost no head. Rich aroma of malt and fruit, presence of banana and some earthy notes in the back. Flavour of malt and citrus, quite dry at the beggining but becoming sweetish, leading to a sweet aftertaste. Carbonation is strong but pleasant enough and the beer is extremely drinkable.

Sell this in bottles in my bar, weve also had it on draught - got through 3 30litre kegs inside a week! Quite sweet, toffee & banana flavours, with hints of liquorice. Colour is a deep, rich, amber with a strong sweet aroma. Taste not overpowering, quite easy to drink - once youve mastered the glass!

Loved it. The malt permeates and blends perfectly with carbonation. Not too spicy and the yeast was subdued. Loved the coppery color. Highly recommended.
