UPDATED: OCT 31, 2017 Clear, red with a thick beige head. Aroma yeasty with some sweetness. Taste quite sweet, a lot of cherries. End with some bitterness.

Tap @Strawberry Thief, Bristol. Served in that famous glass, small head, golden/amber colour, clear. Aroma: mostly yeasts - bananas, green apple, but not too intensive. Lightly sour, full body, lively, long finish, really nice.

330ml brown bottle poured into a tulip glass. Appearance is clear brownish amber with a medium sized foamy beige head with good retention. Aroma of caramel, dried apricots, syrup loaf and muscovado, Taste is medium-heavy sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Kwak is a classic Belgian strong ale, nice flavours but very sweet.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2017 Lys strong ale domineret af malt og gær. God fylde og behagelig i munden. Smager godt uden at komme helt op at ringe.

Semi-hazy amber pour with a tan head. Notes of caramel, dried fruit, yeast, plums, bananas, butterscotch. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation, sweet-ish finish. One of the better belgian strong ales that you can find in supermarkets.

Bottle from Merchants. Drank this while carving pumpkins, because it's decorative gourd season, mother fucker. Aroma is caramel, booze, toffee, butterscotch, booze, some fruit, good. Appearance is reddish brown, light tan head, somewhat hazy. Taste is toffee, caramel, butterscotch, yeast, dry, wood, booze, banana, not shabby. Mouthfeel is medium body, light to medium carbonation, spritzy, dry boozy caramel wood aftertaste. Overall, it ain't bad.

Do like the complex arrangement of different flavors, malt, hoppy bitternotes, some fruit, all well-balanced into a great composition. Among my favorites!

Fles gedeeld bij de Horror Zone, geprobeerd met Roelzie1986, Bart en Perijn. Het is een haast amberkleurig bier met veel lichtbruin schuim. Het heeft een zachte caramelsmaak.
