God og lækker beligsk strong ale, Dejlig fyldig øl, med tilpas sødme og bitterhed.

I am writing this a few days after I had it. I enjoyed it and thought it was a very good beer. But he could not stand up to my preferred Belgians ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rhombic (163) - Elx, SPAIN - SEP 19, 2017
Draught. Hazy brown, pale tan head. Fruity, apple, a bit of sickly sweet caramel in aroma. The flavour profile is heavy sweet, very slick and syrupy, too sweet for my taste. Oily and short finish. Not too great for what it's meant to be.

The presentation is a must but the flavor doesn't follow it. Too strong flavor for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Weird taste but with a very nice aroma. It's a bit sweet but then you can feel a lot of flavours. The presentation is great with a wooden holder:) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite honestly; a perfected balance of malt and sweetness. Strong ABV, married to a full-bodied mouthfeel with a brief flavour...but lingering bitterness. So many English ales are mostly "generic malt" married to less than 10% specialist malts, which result in a very bland and forgettable experience. This Belgian masterpiece has the best with none of the worst! The fact that this recipe has been unaltered since 1791 (apparently! ;) says all you need to know. Beer aficionados: I urge you...if you have not already sought this variety out, then do so with urgency...I implore thee!

330ml Bottle: Pours a clear amber with off-white head that does not retain well. Aroma of raisins, stone fruit, molasses and even a slight alcohol sting. Caramel flavours mixed with dark fruits and some slight bubblegum notes as well. A definitive alcohol warmth in the mouth. Full bodied, low carbonation, with low bitterness. Overall this beer is fantastic, i love the complexity of the flavours and aromas. A defintive must if you enjoy the style.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours a brilliant reddish amber with medium grained white foam, persistent. Aroma is caramel, toffee candy, malty. Body is rather dense, with an alcoholic feeling filling the mouth. Taste is definitely sweet, balanced by some bitterness that is especially evident in the finish. I’d say the excessive alcoholic feeling is the part that is a little detrimental to this beer.
