COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle & keg: Filtered
Ingredients: Barley malts, mineral water, wheat, hops and white candy sugar.
Created in the 1980s, and named after an 18th century brewer and innkeeper, Pauwel Kwak, who apparantly developed a shorter version of the traditional English long stirrup glass (which developed into the yard of ale), for coachmen to use.
Kwak is served with respect for tradition in its own Kwak glass. Recognisable, special and just as idiosyncratic as the taste of the beer itself.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle in Belgian ale glass. Pours deep amber with excellent off-white head that faded quickly. Aroma of malt and a hint of cinnamon, malt driven taste: honey, nutmeg, prunes. Sticky finish with minimal bitterness

Tsja, beroemd biertje, maar toch de eerste maal dat ik deze drink (denk ik nu). Mooie amber kleur, goed beige schuim en een heerlijke smaak, aardig zoetje er in. Kan ik vaker bestellen.

Dark fruit. Candy sugar. Hint of yeast. Light copper. Off white head. Settles down quickly to a ring around the edge and s thin layer on the surface. Light lacing. Dark fruit. Hard candy. A hint of wood. Smooth. Clean finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: biscuit, sweet, floral, belgian hops, everything rather balanced and delicate, a bit empty. Taste: sweet, a bit watery. Head is fine, a little lacing, carbonation average to this style.

Winter drinking beer for me. Relates to old ales. Warm winter hug in a glass, again goes down well. Toffee, Molasses & caramel notes. Perfect for Christmas.

As a Belgian, tasting all the world best beers over here...after some years... This one is a real good blond beer, although high in alcohol, you never taste the alcohol! Very nice in the mouth, drinks easily, but not too easily, you feel body and and for me it's like liquid honey in the mouth... not meaning sweet, but just hints of honey...or something in that direction... Really very good beer! There is a crazy glass for it, google it!
