Glowing bronze/copper color---medium cream head and honeycomb lace...a few floaters, but still pretty...Aroma attractively cidery, yeasty---nice...This has plenty of apple-like snap; effervescent, fairly acidic mouthfeel is rather cidery, adds to refreshment...Finish is tart and medium-dry...This is not very complex as Belgians go, but is certainly flavorful and refreshing...A nice change of pace...and it certainly feels light for a potent elixer...

3 da noite... A maior curtio o copo diferenciado e a galera olhando desconfiada! Retrogosto herbal. Cereja. At o garom ficou com o olho comprido! hehehehehehe!

Bottle. Pours a brownish amber color with a nice fluffy tan head. Aromas of bread and fig. Has characteristic Belgian flavor, reminds me of a Trappist beer. Medium bodied. Roasted edge on the finish. Tasty beer.

Roasted barley, bubblegum, and grape juice aroma wafting above the clear golden body. Fruity and acceptably yeasty exhibiting apple-core, fruit-basket flavors butressed by a deeper, complex character of dates and cooked fruit. A tad unbalanced/unfinished, this would benefit from an additional shot of malt. Yummy nonetheless.

Kraft Caramels that is what this beer reminds me of, but what a great gimmick glass. Page 356 of Michael Jacksons Great Beer Guide and only 296 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.

Medium amber beer with a fizzy off-white head that dissipates slowly with an audible crackle. Strong nose of apple cider, soy sauce, and vinegar. Flavor is a bit less complex than the nose with an overwhelming muskiness that somewhat burns the pallet and masks the other underlying flavors. Some sweetness does eventually come through, along with the apple flavor, but they are subdued in comparison. Decent beer, but not my favorite Belgian ale by a long shot.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2003 This beer was a surprise. The aroma is a bit heavy, but the taste is lovely and very nice aftertaste that lasts for a long time. I will buy it again when i have the change. This beer is dangerously drinkable. I want more, I want more.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2015 33 cl.

Very nice beer, was served in a pub in a Kwak glass (which looks like something from a lab)

I’ve seen this been served in Belgium into the almost chemistry class like test tube rack with mini yard glass - very unique. Good orange color and a bready taste. Superb beer.
