0.33l bottle from LCBO. Served in a tulip. Pours a transparent dark brown, with a thin off-white head, tons of carbonation. Aroma: Strong notes of caramel, malt, nuts. Faint hints of banana, vanilla. Palate: Medium bodied, smooth, slightly fizzy, easy finish. Taste: Fairly sweet, slight bitterness in the finish. Very malty. Nice.

Nice bronze color. Carbonation is lively. Taste is very herby and spicy, with a clear tone of alcohol and dried fruits. Leaves a warm feeling after a sip. Aroma is butterscotch and herbs. Texture is oily.

For what it is, a pale ale, it has a decent taste with light fruit to it. It is drinkable, certainly, and for pale ale lovers, this one might be right up your alley, along with the Tripel Karmeliet and perhaps the La Corne.
