Tap sample at the brewery.
Almost opaque dark brown color with a small nitro mocha head.
Soft roast nose, with some milk chocolate and no hop aroma.
Watery coffee flavors, with stale hops and medium bitterness.
Light bodied and so so. Oakes (18472) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 7, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown. The aroma is mostly chocolate with some biscuity notes as well. Milky chocolate character, light bitterness. Decent stout with nice bitterness and a creamy texture. tomer (3685) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - JUN 30, 2011
Draught at the brewpub, meduim beige head, deep brown colour, quite opaque, aroma of hay, mushrooms and roaste nuts, flavour has a touch of roasted malt and smoke, light boddied and a bit bland. This beer really lacks depth and character. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2011
@ brewpub, it’s currently not bottled. Black beer with a thick, tight head. Aroma is sweet coal, asphalt, rocks, and stones. Soft creamy palate. Quite acidic, which is interesting and refreshing. Malty finish with a decent amount of roast and black licorice for complexity. Nice brew with a view.
