On tap at Paw Paw Brewpub. Dark brown with mahogany lowlights and a creamy tan head. Aroma of dark malts, nuts and light chocolate. Taste of roasted malt, mild toffee and mild nuts. Chalky body is kinda thin and finishes up metallic.

Thanks Mike. This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a murky semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a mild pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had some grainy sweetness, some herbal qualities, semi-sweet dark fruits, light nuttiness and a decent caramel malt base. Some earthy hop features were extremely light. The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the combination of the previously mentioned aromas. Light breadiness, some toast. All wrapped together into the aftertaste to follow into the finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good, somewhat light. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, I’d say a pretty good brown ale worthy of having again.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Clear brown brew with virtually no head, very little lacing as the glass goes down. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, nuts. Taste is roasted grain up front with a clean tart nuttiness in the finish. I like a brown ale that doesn’t get too sweet. Palate is plain, virtually like water. No bad.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has musty grains and some dark bread with a bit of chocolate. Flavor starts full of musty dark bread with growing grain and a bit of straw.

On draft @ Bilbos. Pours a rich brown color with off-white head. Tastes of roasted malt and nuts. Pretty drinkable.

On tap at Paw Paw. Some nutty character and slight hops. Backing toasted bread. Medium body and a bit dry. Easy drinking.
