3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very light, mild lager. Has bitter aftertaste. Golden - Orange in color. Head doesn’t stay long. Light malt flavor. Overall, not bad. Brewery is just down the road from my house. Need to go there in person for the on tap selections. Nice job.
Thanks Mike, this was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a burnt orange to copper color with a thin film of a little white head. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had some earthy to grassy hops up front with a gentle biscuit to caramel/toffee malt base. Just a touch of floral hops slightly in the backbone.
The flavor was malty dry with some of the earthiness riding in to spike the finish slightly spicy as I didn’t mind this.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a low carbonation about it. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty good as a mild ale, probably with some fish n’ chips if I ever have it again. Hopper8 (178) - Holland, Michigan, USA - MAR 24, 2017
UPDATED: APR 3, 2017 It’s pretty good, but it’s kinda basic. The caramel malts are super fun, but that’s kinda where things stop. ebone1988 (1918) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - FEB 9, 2017
Aroma is barely anything, slight wheat, really lacking. Appearance is amber golden, light tan head, clear. Taste is cashew, mixed nuts, light caramel, it just tastes like a handful of cashews. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, nutty aftertaste. Overall, this is strange. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy grains with a light wood note and some straw underlying. Flavor has a touch of biscuit with straw and grain as the backbone. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - FEB 8, 2015
Bottle: The aroma consists of light moderate caramel with a touch of chocolate (sort of like tootsie rolls), earthiness, and nuts. It pours a mostly transparent amber with a two finger khaki head that eventually settles to a thin film outlined by a thick ring. There is some very fine webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light caramel with a touch of chocolate. The finish has light earthiness, hints of nuts, and the beginning of some faint sour fruit flavors that I’m guessing aren’t supposed to be there. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, it’s an okay lawn mower beer, but I’m thinking it’s a matter of time before the faint sourness becomes a major problem.

Bottle. Pours light amber. Small white head. Mild bready aroma. Flavor of caramel and biscuits. Just a tiny amount of bitter. Very nice, easy drinking, no frills, session ale. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 3, 2014

I have this mostly on draft locally. A unique flavor and smooth enough to stick with all evening. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - JUL 25, 2014
Draft at rumors. Hazy gold with a white head. Mild, caramel malt aromas. Dry and grain heavy. Petkus331 (389) - Redford, Michigan, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Aroma of mildly roasted malt, some toffee. Appears yellow, minimal foam. Tastes of a subtle roast malt with mildly sweet toffee and a touch of oaky bitterness. Palate is ordinary. Overall, good.
