Dogbrick (13126) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. The beer is a clear amber-mahogany color with a medium thick light beige head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, fruit and hops. Medium body with a smoky malt character and notes of dark fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is charred malt and raisin. Above average overall.

SinH4 (4933) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 31, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2016 Bottle. Clear reddish-amber color with big creamy tan head. Aroma is slight ham, hint of salt. Taste is ham, salty, some caramely malts, with a full body. Natural carbonation. Extremely drinkable for 8.7%. A very tasty and harmonious Doppelbock, with a nice saltiness that becomes a bit overwhelming after a few sips. I like!

Heldere koper kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig caramel, mout. Smaakt zoetig honing, suiker.

1 000 ml bottle. BB 30/5. From Timo A! Kiitti!
Clear amber color with a midsize foamy off-white head. Ink, alcohol, malt, almond, brown sugar, some ash and mild cigarette in the aroma. The flavor is super strong… alcohol, dryish malt and almond. Rather boozy. Bitterish too. Not exactly my thing.

Foerdifuxx (377) - Franconia, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2015
Clear amber coloured beer with a small cappuccino-coloured head. Aromas of smoke, orange lemonade, alcohol, dark fruits, pear, caramel, yeast, herbal hops, toffee. Sweet-smokie and bready, almost nutty in taste with a good amount of hoppy bitterness. Hoppy-bitter finish, pepperminty impression. Lots of warming alcohol. Heavy body, oily texutre, soft carbonation. Heavy hitting Doppelbock.

kevnic2008 (12010) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 25, 2015
Pours a darkamber color, sweet-smokey malty aroma and flavor, some fruity like esters. Sweet finish.

Koelschtrinker (20584) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 22, 2015
11/14/12/13/12/14

Zlotta (3406) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 8, 2015
1,0 l bottle (8.7% abv) from P&M Getränke, bottled on 18/10/2014. Clear, reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, tan head and nice lacings on the glass. Pleasant but not that intense aroma of raisins, nuts and candy sugar with gentle, smoky hints in the background. Sweetish, smoky taste of candy sugar, molasses, coal, raisins and prunes. Short, slightly bitter and gentle, pleasant, alcoholic and warming finish. Medium to full body, oily and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rather good and quite interesting due to its smokiness. Pleasant, sweet taste to which the smoked malts add that special complexity. Recommendable!

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 11, 2014
1 l bottle (8.7 %), thanks Timo A! Slightly hazy dark amber color. Sweet aromas of smoke, tar, peat and dark bread. Sweet smoky and bready aroma with tar, dark bread crust, honey and warming alcohol. Full body. Rich malty and smoky taste, nice.

olio (10340) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 8, 2014
1 l bottle. Thanks Timo A.
Pours dark copper-mahogany color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, some caramel, ripe fruits and yeast. Flavor of caramel malts, toffee, some yeast, ripe fruits and mild wooden notes. Quite straightforward Doppelbock, nothing special, good and balanced anyway.
