COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Province of Limburg is one of the 5 provinces of Flanders and one of the 10 of all the Belgian provinces. The original region used to be called the Earlship of Loon, during the middle ages, later on of the Prince of Liége. The Province of Limburg has also the oldest city of Belgium, namely ‘Tongeren’. This was the region where Julius Ceasar lost one of his only battles in history. He called the people of this region, “the bravest of them all”. This amazing white beer is being brewed in honor of our beautiful Province and it’s people throughout history till today! Limburgse Witte is a classic high fermented Belgian wheat beer. This is not the same as Weissbeer in Germany! The beer is brewed according the traditional way of brewing unfiltered wheat beer and gives a low alcohol volume of 5% alc. vol. The nice lightly taste of orange and the spicy touch of coriander makes the beer a perfect thirst-quencher! Turn with the bottle when halfway and pour the loose yeast in your glass, that's the perfect Limburgse witte, nice hazy real wheat. Serve it cold! UPDATED: FEB 23, 2017 z kranu, chmielarnia. Ladne, nieszalencza piana, za to slodko jasnozoltomtnawe. Aromat glownie owocowy-korzenny, malo kolendry, jakas lekka peiprzowosc. Lekkie. Mile.

The belgian witt bier, good citrus fragance, sweet orange flavor, very sweet because it lacked the contrast of coriander.

Bottle on 140801, best before may 2013. Thanks tderoeck for sharing! Pours cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet fruity with goose berries, coriander, grain. Taste is light/medium sweet and light bitter. Finish is a bit too sweet, slight bitterness. Light/medium bodied.

1/VIII/14 - 25cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ Belgo-Swedish Crazy Summer Trade Tasting - BB: V/2013 (hello? I just bought this!) (2014-864)

Little cloudy pale yellow beer, creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, floral, coriander, some honey. MF: medium to light body. Taste: bit floral, yeasty, pretty sweet and sugary (why???), honey (oxidation I guess). Aftertaste: sweet and floral, candy, bit fruity, sugary, some orange peel.

Joint venture between two Limburg breweries, Martens and Sint-Jozef, but actually brewed at Sint-Jozef. Organic beer with the typical cream white head and pale yellowish colour of any standard witbier, sweetish with slight wheat sourishness, bit yeasty, relatively subtle presence of coriander. Not bad, for the umpteenth Hoegaarden clone.

Erzengel (9334) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2014

Just another Belgian witbier. Nothing special going on here, just average, but nice.
