Bottle, 2017 batch. Really excited that they made this again this year, one of my favorite stout variants. Dark brown pour, near black, with a thin ring of tan head. The aroma is a little underwhelming; smoky and kind sweet, hints of star anise. A medium to lighter body, boarder line on the thin side. Tastes sweet and roasty, a modest milk chocolate flavor and lingering cinnamon. Lightly bittersweet cocoa in the end. I was expecting something bigger, but overall this does drink very well. stevoj (5954) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 24, 2017
Taster at Black Friday. Inky black pour, nice cap of thick creamy beige head. Smoky, bitter aroma, chocolate. More if the chocolate in the taste, some cinnamon. Mellow, but potent. pinkzambia (2123) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 13, 2017
Bottle Share: 2016 Release. This beer cements my view that Payette is the best brewery in Idaho. Didn't think that cinnamon could be this good in a beer. Yum! douglas88 (9828) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 10, 2017
Bottle cracked at RBSG right as we left. Tickers gonna find gold. Pours a pitch black hue. A big sweet chocolate roast nose. Vanilla, sugary sweet chocolate, spicy, very rich. Works almost perfectly. Awesome. Great palate.

Intense chocolate, spices, cacao, hot chocolate. Hazy, dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Medium sweet. More rich, dark chocolate, dark grains, roasted malts, soft carbonation, full bodied. Beautiful, rich, yet not too sweet. Bottle shared at Leighton’s - thanks to Fin! Leighton (23090) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2017
Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Fin and his brewer amigo! Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Restrained roast in the nose, cocoa, understated dark fruits. Medium to big sweet flavour with some oily chocolate, light chili, vanilla pods, toffee. Full bodied, chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Rich finish but still pretty well balanced, more chocolate, dried berries, light roast, more vanilla. Great stuff.
