COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an unfiltered Belgian Style Blonde Ale. The beer is blonde in color from the pale malted barley varieties. It is delicately hopped with Styrian Golding and Celeia for medium bitterness and aroma. Sugars are added for higher attenuation, following the practices of some Belgian brewers. Belgian ale yeast is used to add complex flavor esters. This beer is unfiltered and yeast is left in for additional conditioning. The beer is named Fatale because it is 8.5% alcohol by volume and will catch up with you if you’re not careful.

Pours hazy gold with white head, lots of yeast. Aroma is spicy yeast. Medium body, lots of sweet yeast flavor with a little spiciness, little bit of banana, and some citrus hops. Some alcohol taste also. Lots of grainy barley taste on the malt side. Nothing spectacular but it does a really good job of hiding the higher ABV, very drinkable and pretty good.

Sweat, banana, wheat. A bear that tastes like summertime at a single A ballpark, like grass stuck in your mower.

12oz Bottle, purchased at Warehouse Liquors - Duluth, MN. My first Iowa tick! Warm banana, spice, and cooked fruit aroma. Clean. Flavors are good. Light sweetness, good mineral profile, light clove and herb presence. Dry. A little on the rubbery side of the Belgian phenols for me, but this isn’t bad. Glad I got the chance to try it.

Sampled at Repeal of Prohibition fest 2013 at Schlafly Bottleworks - Pours golden blonde with a light haze and white head. The aroma has bananas, clove, raw dough and fruity Belgian yeast. It has medium / full body with light carbonation. The flavor starts sweet and sugary with nectar fruits, spice and mild banana. The finish has mild spicy hops. Pretty good.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Pale orangish pour with no head. Nice aroma of sugars, yeast, and slight banana. Taste is a bit blander than that. Just so-so.

Bottle. Pours blonde (good work on the name of the beer!) with minimal head. Good belgian to it, bananas and the like. Solid beer, had some good beers from these guys. Thanks RG.

Sampled at the Schlafly ROP 2013. It poured a cloudy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of lemons, some dry yeasts, and some ripe rotting fruit. The taste was of lemons, dry Belgian malts, not hot despite a higher ABV. Very good.

Tasted at the 2013 Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition fest in a mini Willybecher glass. It poured a mostly clear orange-tinged golden colour with moderate white foam and Belgian lace. Grainy, with strong pilsener impression, low-level earthy and pepper notes from hops and yeast. Slight residual sweetness. Nice, mellow, subtly balanced aromas and flavors. Light-medium body, average carbonation, bready mouthfeel, relatively dry finish. Deceptively smooth and drinkable for 8.5% alcohol, warming but otherwise well-concealed. I love the Styrian Goldings and Celeia hops in the description but I confess I wouldn’t have been able to identify them at such low dosages. Overall another tasty, well-crafted brew from Peace Tree.
