COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an unfiltered Belgian Style Blonde Ale. The beer is blonde in color from the pale malted barley varieties. It is delicately hopped with Styrian Golding and Celeia for medium bitterness and aroma. Sugars are added for higher attenuation, following the practices of some Belgian brewers. Belgian ale yeast is used to add complex flavor esters. This beer is unfiltered and yeast is left in for additional conditioning. The beer is named Fatale because it is 8.5% alcohol by volume and will catch up with you if you’re not careful.

malrubius (3020) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - SEP 4, 2013
Bottle from Johns. Bright gold with ring. Very sweet sugary aroma with herbs and glue. Very sweet fruit peach apricot with mildly astringent herbal bitter finish. Cloying sugary watery aftertaste. Fine carbo adds to astringency. Just sits there with no head or lace. Sugar added for "higher attenuation" should not make the beer sticky sweet and thick. This is off in every way. Blech.

12oz bottle thanks to pepsiedcan, thanks Andy! Pours a hazy yellowish gold with a thin white head, aroma is of subtle fruit with a little bit of yeast and spice, the flavor has a nice earthy front end with some barnyard notes in the finish, kind of musty, the abv is tasted just a tad but is pretty well hidden, decent.

Phone rate. Draught @ el Bait Shop. Clear amber, small white head fading to a thin ring rather quickly. Aroma of banana and pale grain, fairly dry with some alcohol. Flavor has moderate fruity yeast with a bit of band aid notes, husky grain. Very well attenuated, finishes dry with a tinge of banana and grape notes, alcohol not masked too well. Bitterness peaked at a 1-2. Light to mod prickly carbonation with a medium body. OK.

jcr (2763) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle. Hazy golden body. Frothy, white head, quickly diminishing. Aroma is mostly clove with notes of mustiness, lemon, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit hot in the finish with peppery alcohol notes. Tastes of clove and lemon. Thin and simple for as big a beer as it is.

durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 30, 2011
Bottle from the extremely awesome CanIHave4Beers. Pours deep, clear golden with a fleeting white head. Nose is grainy and boozy; some banana and lemon zest, as well as some honey. Sweet bread. Taste adds some floral and grassy hop notes. Palate is a bit prickly.

dimenhetfield (2554) - , Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Bottle provided by Ed Roberts. Not a whole lot going on in this beer. Has a sweet aroma with subtle hints of candy sugar and wheat. It was a very nice contrast though to all the big stouts we were consuming.

fidelis83 (2509) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Slightly hazy gold pour with a thin, white head. Aroma of cereal, bready yeast, grassy hops, toast, spicy hops, and earthy fruit. Flavor is very bready, grassy hops, toast biscuit, banana, apple chips, hay and light mineral notes to the finish. Medium body, slightly oily feel, light, but sharp carbonation. Not bad.

Draft. Clear orange-amber. Aroma is mostly bubblegum. Taste: sweet, bubblegum, light citrus, floral, very little bitterness, maybe a little butter. Palate: full body, slick texture. Overall: needs work. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
